This page contains material that is kept because it is considered humorous. Such material is not meant to be taken seriously. |
The WikiKraken is a dangerous species of user, who usually disguise their vandalism as correct material.
History
The WikiKraken's orgins cannot be fully traced, though they are believed to be descended from hoax-makers. A case of Convergent evolution has brought them to resemble The Kraken, a Scandanavian Dark-Squid. WikiKrakens have been hunted throughout time, and are one of the most deadly WikiDarkbeast.
Habits
The Kraken was a species of mollusc (believed by cryptozoologists to be an exaggeration of either the giant squid, colossal squid, or giant octopus). It would disguise itself as an island, then attack any sailors foolish enough to land on it. The WikiKraken (a WikiDarkBeast), does a similar thing. They pose false information and WikiHoaxes, as realistic pieces of data. Rarely, they may even cite non-existent sources as a way of decreasing suspicion. WikiKrakens may use the WikiKraken userbox.
Hunting WikiKrakens
WikiKrakens are difficult to find, and it is easy to mistake a normal user for one. WikiKrakens will attempt to make their info sound as realistic as possible, but they may be easily found if leaving an obvious inconsistency (e.g. putting sexual content on a page on a children's movie). WikiKrakens can then be dealt with as any other vandal. Also, WikiKrakens are more likely to use a user account then other WikiDarkBeasts.
Anti-Krakens
Sometimes a WikiKraken may turn to the Lightside. They are then known as Anti-Krakens. Their knowledge of well-done prose may prove to be a valuable WikiSkill.
