Current requests

Emerald Editor

I am currently developing Crimson Editor and would like the content of Emerald Editor userfied so I can use it. I will be creating a redirect from Emerald Editor to Crimson Editor since Emerald Editor is not presently notable. Bridgeplayer (talk) 15:38, 23 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There is nothing worthwhile there for you Bridgeplayer. The entire article reads

Emerald Editor is to be a an open-source replacement for Crimson Editor licensed under the GNU General Public License. Crimson Editor was opensourced on December 29, 2006, but it is built with MFC and therefore is tied to Windows. Emerald Editor will be multiplatform. It is about to start the design phase.

Anchalee Voogd

Anchalee Voogd - Thai Figure Skater this was the "reason" it was deleted. Non-encyclopedic vanity article created by a not-very-notable skater to promote herself) if I valid reason then the folowing pages should also be deleted...at least of the Thai skaters. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phanyaluck_Raisuksiri http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amy_Alisara_Arirachakaran if you do not consider it a valid reason then I would also like to do pages on all the skaters on this page: tracings.net/thailand.html —Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.24.52.170 (talk) 17:48, 23 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Raunch Studio

deleted as advertising? I think

Please tell me what I have done wrong the page that I included the article in was for Recording `studios in London" I thought it was ok to name my own studio here/ I am sorry if this breaks rules I saw all the other studios mentioned and added mine? many thanks Phil

Sentrigo

This page was deleted via PROD, and unfortunately I did not see the notice at the time.

As the original author, I attempted to write this article from a neutral POV, following several examples of company overview pages in Wikipedia.

SamCERA

I wasn't even notified that it was going to be deleted, and didn't get a chance to protest or refute.

It took me a lot of work to setup that page, please restore it. I don't understand the reason for deletion in the first place.

Here is the reason: 14:59, August 18, 2009 Lifebaka (talk | contribs) deleted "SamCERA" ‎ (Expired PROD, concern was: unnotable organisation)

I don't know what "unnotabel organisation" is? SamCERA has been around for over 65 years.

Thanks for any help.

Participatory democracy

I added a reference on this page on November 28, 2009. It relates to my opinion that the concept "participatory democracy" is in fact a pleonasm! Indeed, according to me, democracy demands participation by the citizens. I justify this opinion in an article which I placed in the section "external references".

Now, somebody erased it on November 29, 2009 explaining that "Wikipedia is not a place to disseminate your own papers"!

- First, I would have appreciated being informed by this person when he(she) unilaterally decided to erase my contribution. He(she) could also have asked me why I feel this inclusion is usefull for all. Am I not supposed to be a responsible contributor?

- Second, does the fact that I am the author of this added reference prevent me automatically from being authorized to insert it? If yes, it is rather strange!

Best regards,

--PhDG (talk) 18:03, 26 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

LEO Learn Enrich Optimize

The article was nominated and deleted under "section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company". But this is not the case LEO - Listen Enrich Optimize is a registered service mark and a new business consulting process which has received attention from various personalities and media.

The Unites States patent and Trademark Office - www.uspto.gov mentions LEO as - IC 035. US 100 101 102. G & S: BUSINESS CONSULTING RELATING TO IMPROVING BUSINESS PERFORMANCE. FIRST USE: 20051101. FIRST USE IN COMMERCE: 20051101

LEO - Listen Enrich Optimize was first introduced by Management Consultant and eminet author Subir Chowdhury in his book The Ice Cream Maker

And if this is restored, it should be restored to LEO Listen Enrich Optimize, and not LEO Learn Enrich Optimize — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arijit (talkcontribs)

The Money Masters

I am not sure why this article was deleted, but it was about an important documentary that points out exactly who in the world controls our money supply in North America. This article should not be deleted, there is no reason for it to be deleted, and it is important that the article stay up so as to further educate the American people as to how to solve our problems of inflation, debt, and financial crisis. There are a multitude of other articles which summarize similar documentaries:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zeitgeist,_the_Movie#Zeitgeist:_Addendum

Along with many more that I cannot possibly list within this message. It is to my understanding that Wikipedia prides itself in the free education of all people, so please, PUT THIS ARTICLE BACK UP AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. REMOVE THE RESTRICTIONS, AND ALLOW THE COMMAN MAN TO SEE THE ARTICLE ONCE AGAIN.

  • Okay, I am a new user on this forum and I do not know how to work any of the functions, or rules, on this site, and I want you to tell me personally why you think this article should be deleted. I would like to ask you if you have seen the video, because, in my humble opinion, this video needs to be seen by everyone, and I have withdrawn from my humble dredges of everyday life to ask you why this article has been deleted, and why the video doesn't deserve to get an extra 100,000 hits on the general internet as a result of this article. Again, I am asking this independent of all Wikipedia opinions and rules. I am an independent supporter of this video, and am not affiliated with the video or its creators. I am simply an independent, concerned citizen. Please send me a reply AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. JChuchman 07:34, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Don't understand why Wide Area Multilateration was deleted

Wide Area Multilateration - This page was deleted with the following reason: "A tag has been placed on Wide Area Multilateration, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article." The article simply described a technology, much like other pages that describe technologies (see "Multilateration", "TCAS", "ADS-B"). It does not promote a company, product, group, service, or person. If it was deleted due to lack of references, please let me know as there are a number of additional ones that can be added.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Ludmilovna (talkcontribs)

I don't see the unambiguous advertising here, so your best bet for an answer to this is to ask either the person who requested deletion, Ironholds (talk · contribs), or the deleting admin, Fastily (talk · contribs), if they can give you more information on this. David Cole (revisionist)

First, I must admit right up front that I have never seen the deleted article. It was very short-lived (about a week from establishment to deletion, and the User that established it was similarly short-lived). I was surprised today when seeking an article on the subject, whom I regard as notable, and finding none. While I am not David Cole, nor have I ever met, seen, spoken to, or knowingly corresponded with him in person, I have some knowledge of what an accurate article on this subject would have contained. His work is very controversial, such that a person whose POV opposed Holocaust revisionism would favor suppression of information about him and his work. Most of his work is currently viewable on YouTube.

I reviewed the Discussion of the Deletion (3 weeks ago), and I was struck by something about the four votes to Delete: one was from the person who apparently tried to initiate the Deletion; two others were from Users now permanently blocked, of which one was a sock puppet for a User permanently banned at that time; and the last was from a User whose contributions I have some previous familiarity with whose NPOV in matters involved with the Holocaust I regretfully find questionable.

I request that this article be restored. If it is restored, it may confidently be expected to be Nominated for Deletion in very short order, at which time perhaps a more judicious consideration of the nomination may be undertaken.--Joe (talk) 15:50, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Since David Cole (revisionist) was deleted as a result of the discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/David Cole (revisionist), this is not something we can unilaterally restore here. If you think the discussion was closed in error, talk to the closing admin, JForget (talk · contribs), and then if you still aren't satisfied you can take it to deletion review. (But talk to JForget first, because if you don't, deletion review will kick out your request.) HTH. --Fabrictramp | talk to me 00:48, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nimi Visuals

Greetings, luckily Polish Wikipedia Users help me to find this page. (via Polish equivalent of this page) I would like to appology for my English - ain't native, and my wiki system using skills aren't that good(that's why I used Polish page to get help to navigate here)

One of the administrators (if I understand correctly) deleted added by me entry on software I'm one of developers, using some speedy procedure. It made me really worried and concerned as in past I recall entry was checked (when I was updating entry I saw this in history) and I don't recall any problems reported earlier. I always tried to write objective, giving reference to written content and focus on overall overview. Just how I find encyclopedic entries in Wikipedia - I mean informative and not out from nowhere. By so it's hard for me to believe that whole entry would be matching this category - and I always thought that before deletion entries are discussed or something. I'm very willing and cooperative User (I'm developer overall) and I always prefer civilized solutions rather than other.

Entry included history, it's features, references in press and websites etc. My most concern is caused as it is only such software on its platform - there is only one commercial equivalent from what I know on its platform, and from what I noticed some of the Users of other platforms aren't fans of it (overall it's effect engine). I've tried contacting with User whom deleted this entry - without much result - humbly asking for more detailed explanation of this removal and eventual suggestions how it should be written to be available on Wikipedia. Unhappily I didn't get any response.

Furthermore, it made me even more worried as I googled and found - that this User (I'm just saying what was in Google results) involved into similar situations in past.

I would really greatly appreciate any help in resolving this matter I would really like that it would be at last mentioned to be existing on Wikipedia, especially as I always tried to be a good (maybe not extraordinary active) member of Wiki community.

I can't say that I see the unambiguous advertising, but we do have the issue of conflict of interest. Since you are one of the developers of the software, it will be just about impossible for you to write about this in an unbiased manner, and the English Wikipedia strongly discourages you from writing about subjects where you have a conflict of interest.
I only see that you contacted the deleting today, and s/he has not edited since December 30. Admins are all volunteers, and many are enjoying the New Year's holiday with their families, so you may need to give it more than just a few hours for a reply. If you can't work it out with the deleting admin, you can always take it to WP:DRV, but you will have an uphill battle there because of the conflict of interest. Mirthala Salinas

Page was deleted twice. Once for PROD reasons of BLP1E, and another for BLP concerns. I request that the first version be restored. Although she dated Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villaraigosa (the supposedly 1E), she is notable in her own right as a news anchor for KVEA in Los Angeles. However whatever (talk) 19:30, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Not done If a long paragraph about the scandal, and a shorter one about her other "romantic relationships" with "other (named) well-known Los Angeles based California politicians" were removed (from the first version), what would be left would be a three-liner saying where she was born, educated, and worked. I don't think just being a news anchor is notable - see WP:ENTERTAINER. This article was more suitable for a gossip-sheet than an encyclopedia. (This was the right place to ask for undeletion --WP:Deletion review would be the next step if you want to pursue it). JohnCD (talk) 16:46, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Xeno, Thanks for your reply. Yes, are site is continually mentioned by the mainstream media both in print and on-air. Here is just a partial listing of all the top places that have discussed our site from NBC's PetSide, Readers Digest, MSNBC, CNET, The Early Show on CBS, Fox & Friends, Digital Trends, ABC News Now, Pet Product News which is considered the pet industry bible.

Below are some links:

You'll need to add these references to the article and also make some assertion of notability. If you think your article meets WP:CORP standards, you can then move it into the mainspace - however; this will not prevent another editor tagging it for speedy deletion or filing a deletion discussion if they feel it still does not meet our inclusion criteria. –xenotalk 17:42, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

One Last Shot

The article on local Syracuse, NY band "One Last Shot" has been deleted despite it being factually based and used as a resource on the bands website as a place to go to learn about the band. •  Done As the article was deleted by the Proposed Deletion procedure, restoration on request is automatic. I'm not sure the "history" section qualifies as "not frivolous", but that's by the way: the point is that just being correct is not enough, to have a Wikipedia article a subject has to be notable, the standard for bands is set out at WP:BAND, and I'm afraid, with their first EP yet to be released, One Last Shot don't make it (yet). So I have started a deletion discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/One Last Shot. These discussions normally run for seven days; you are welcome to comment there, but before you do, please read WP:Notability and WP:Notability (music). Could an administrator restore the old deleted page history? The article was deleted in 2007 after an AfD, and has now been recreated with sources showing notability. --Apoc2400 (talk) 14:30, 5 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

MoneyTV with Donald Baillargeon

The article above was a concise and complete description of a long running, internationally broadcast television program. I cannot understand why the article was deleted, nor do I agree with it being done.
