Welcome
- Welcome!
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Editing tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Naming conventions
- Manual of Style
- Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or sock puppetry
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Deliberately adding such content or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! | Uncle Milty | talk | 16:27, 18 April 2011 (UTC)

Fursuit
Hi
I have restored my edits with an explanation on the talk page Talk:Fursuit#Explanation_of_edits_undone. I would appreciate it if we could discuss it before any disagreements flourish. Chaosdruid (talk) 16:15, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
Please fix your signature by removing the image
Please read Wikipedia:Signatures#Images. Images are not permitted in signatures. Thanks. Delicious carbuncle (talk) 04:22, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
Images of any kind must not be used in signatures for the following reasons:
- They are an unnecessary drain on server resources, and could cause server slowdown
- A new image can be uploaded in place of the one you chose, making your signature a target for possible vandalism and denial-of-service attacks
- They make pages more difficult to read and scan
- They make it more difficult to copy text from a page
- They are potentially distracting from the actual content
- Images do not scale with the text, making the lines with images higher than those without them
- They clutter up the "file links" list on the respective image's page every time one signs on a different talk page
- Images in signatures give undue prominence to a given user's contribution

Otherkin and Clinical Lycanthropy:
The inclusion of Clinical Lycanthropy (or Fantasy Prone Personality, or Psychopathy) as a see-also in the Otherkin article is a clear and ongoing attempt to insert POV by certain editors who are biased against the otherkin community. They are unable to provide any WP:Reliable Sources with psychiatric experts making the claim that members of the otherkin community suffer from any of these psychiatric conditions, so they attempt to use "See Also" and the argument that the connection between the two is "common sense" or "obvious" in order to insert their POV. Clinical Lycanthropy, or any other psychiatric condition, has no place either in the article or as a see-also unless there is a reliable source showing an actual psychiatric professional claiming there is such a link. It would be like making "Paraphilia" a see also for the article on furry fandom. I'm not going to edit war with you on this, but I would ask you: please, do not contribute to the ongoing attempt to circumvent Wikipedia Policy and troll this community. Please roll the Otherkin article back to the version without Clinical Lycanthropy as a See Also. Thank you. --69.143.182.189 (talk) 20:14, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
MOTDs (This space for rent)
You may have noticed over the past few days that the MOTD that you link to on your user page has simply displayed a red link. This is due to the fact that not enough people are reviewing pending MOTDs here. Please help us keep the MOTD template alive and simply go and review a few of the MOTDs in the list. That way we can have a real MOTD in the future rather than re-using (This space for rent). Any help would be appreciated! –pjoef (talk • contribs) 10:04, 7 March 2012 (UTC)
Proposed blackout in protest of RA 10175
Dear Equivamp,
Greetings!
As a Filipino Wikipedian, I hope you are aware of the passage of Republic Act No. 10175, also known as the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, which was signed into law by President Benigno Aquino III on September 12, 2012. Currently, there is a discussion on the Tambayan, the noticeboard for Philippines-related topics, about a proposed blackout of the English Wikipedia in the Philippines in order to protest the passage of RA 10175, similar to the blackout against SOPA and PIPA held earlier this year. I feel that your input on the subject will definitely help in the discussion.
Please feel free to participate in the discussion at Wikipedia talk:Tambayan Philippines#The Cybercrime Prevention Act, and I hope your input will help the Filipino Wikipedia community determine which is the best course of action against this law. Similarly, we hope to get as much input from as many Wikipedians as possible.
Thank you and maraming salamat po!
Kind regards,
Sky Harbor (talk) 04:48, 6 October 2012 (UTC)

According to a recent count, you did not meet that criterion. If you believe we are in error, or there are other circumstances, such as a number of edits across multiple accounts, please let us know. Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
We are currently running a study on the effects of adding additional information to SuggestBot's suggestions. Participation in the study is voluntary. Should you wish to not participate in the study, or have questions or concerns, you can find contact information on the SuggestBot study page.
IMPORTANT CHANGES: We have modified the selection of articles SuggestBot suggests and altered the design to incorporate more information about the articles, as described in this explanation.
Note: All columns in this table are sortable, allowing you to rearrange the table so the articles most interesting to you are shown at the top. All images have mouse-over popups with more information.
Changes to SuggestBot's suggestions
We have changed the number of suggested articles and which categories they are selected from. The number of stubs has been greatly reduced, the number of articles needing sources doubled, and two new categories added (orphans and unencyclopaedic articles). We have also modified the layout of the suggestions and added sortable columns with various types of information about each article. The first two columns are:
- Views/Day
- Daily average number of views an article's had over the past 14 days.
- Quality
- Predicted article quality on a 1- to 3-star scale. Placing your cursor over the stars should give you a pop-up describing the article's quality (Low/Medium/High), current assessment class, and predicted assessment class.
The method we use to predict article quality also allows us to assess whether an article might need specific types of work in order to improve its quality. The work needed might not correspond to cleanup tags added to the article, since our method is not based on those. We have added five columns reflecting this work assessment, where a red X indicates improvement is needed. Placing your cursor over an X should give you a pop-up with a short description of the work needed. The five columns seek to answer the following five questions:
- Content
- Is more content needed?
- Headings
- Does this article have an appropriate section structure?
- Images
- Is the number of illustrative images about right?
- Links
- Does this article link to enough other Wikipedia articles?
- Sources
- For its length, is there an appropriate number of citations to sources in this article?
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. We appreciate that you have signed up to receive suggestions regularly, your contributions make Wikipedia better — thanks for helping!
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please let us know on SuggestBot's talk page. Regards from Nettrom (talk), SuggestBot's caretaker. -- SuggestBot (talk) 23:26, 6 September 2013 (UTC)
