Hi,

Not sure if this is going to work or if anybody would visit my talk page. But since this is the ONLY place I am currently allowed to edit, am writing here. I suddenly got an email that my account has been Investigated by User:Teacher1943 and blocked by User:Bbb23 2 others due to a sockpuppet investigation. This is the first time I have been accused of something like this and that too it was for good faith. I have been editing wikipedia since more than a couple of years now. This has turned into an hobby now. I have a friend (we work in the same office) user:Manan49s who also found it interesting and also wanted to try his hand on it. I helped him with basics (I myself am learning) of editing and creating wiki page. He got so excited and loved the concept of adding value that we kept on asking for help. He got stuck with a couple of pages like Akhilesh Yadav as accused, amongst others. I agree that I have helped him (verbally and even through my account), but that was just out of good faith and with the idea of helping him and inturn learning something more. But this sockpuppet blocking (details present here) is absurd. Obviously if we work in the same office, the IP's would be same. I have even logged into Wikipedia via his PC a couple of or even more times. But this surely does not make me the same person. I would request you to look at my editing history all these years and the value I have added to Wikipedia and talk a call. I would plead not the block me since, surely it is going to take away my new and loved hobby.

I have been editing wikipedia since more than a couple of years now. This has turned into an hobby now. I have a friend (we work in the same office) [[user:Manan49s]] who also found it interesting and also wanted to try his hand on it. I helped him with basics (I myself am learning) of editing and creating wiki page. He got so excited and loved the concept of adding value that we kept on asking for help. He got stuck with a couple of pages like [[Akhilesh Yadav]] as accused, amongst others. I agree that I have helped him (verbally and even through my account), but that was just out of [[good faith]] and with the idea of helping him and inturn learning something more. But this sockpuppet blocking (details present [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Teacher1943 here]) is absurd. Obviously if we work in the same office, the IP's would be same. I have even logged into Wikipedia via his PC a couple of or even more times. But this surely does not make me the same person.
I would request you to look at my editing history all these years and the value I have added to Wikipedia and talk a call. I would plead not the block me since, surely it is going to take away my new and loved hobby.

I suddenly got an email that my account has been Investigated by [[User:Teacher1943]] and blocked by [[User:Bbb23]] 2 others due to a sockpuppet investigation. This is the first time I have been accused of something like this and that too it was for good faith.

Thanks User:Vanjagenije for this information. Until now I was not aware if anything such exits. Will be adding this to my profile right away and anyways I am shifting office by next week, so that should not be a problem anymore. Can you suggest how my block can be removed? - You can't edit anything except this page since you are blocked. This is a {{checkuserblock-account}}, so the block cannot be lifter without WP:CheckUser review. You should try discussing it first with the blocking admin (Bbb23). Vanjagenije (talk) 20:48, 27 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

- Chintan, I don't see any indication that you and the other account are using IPs owned by a company. Another significant problem is that the two accounts edited the same pages, and many of the edits from both accounts were not good edits and were reverted. I have already mentioned why the IP's would have been same and why we edited the same pages (btw, I have edited many more pages and have also created many more pages than my colleague). A small help has created such a huge confusion and now I am paying for this. Its really really upsetting. Anyways! Is there a solution Bbb23, Vanjagenije?
