How we will see unregistered users

Hi!

You get this message because you are an admin on a Wikimedia wiki.

When someone edits a Wikimedia wiki without being logged in today, we show their IP address. As you may already know, we will not be able to do this in the future. This is a decision by the Wikimedia Foundation Legal department, because norms and regulations for privacy online have changed.

Instead of the IP we will show a masked identity. You as an admin will still be able to access the IP. There will also be a new user right for those who need to see the full IPs of unregistered users to fight vandalism, harassment and spam without being admins. Patrollers will also see part of the IP even without this user right. We are also working on better tools to help.

If you have not seen it before, you can read more on Meta. If you want to make sure you don’t miss technical changes on the Wikimedia wikis, you can subscribe to the weekly technical newsletter.

We have two suggested ways this identity could work. We would appreciate your feedback on which way you think would work best for you and your wiki, now and in the future. You can let us know on the talk page. You can write in your language. The suggestions were posted in October and we will decide after 17 January.

Hi RBandojo and welcome to Wikipedia. Everything in the article needs to be re-written. Terms like his revolutionary influencer marketing course and he has inspired businesses all over the globe are the type of promotional wording we reject on Wikipedia. User32178, You need to provide at least three articles from newspapers or reliable websites that cover Melissa Nicole Quarles in depth. Not just passing mentions, not just one paragraph, in depth. Flibirigit, I suggest something about his article following the Flyers Cup. Maybe ...that despite it being announced on the radio, journalist Bill Fleischman had no plans to write an article on the Philadelphia Flyers Stanley Cup run? Or ...that Bill Fleischman wrote an article on the Philadelphia Flyers Stanley Cup run in one day that "read like he spent weeks researching it."? Simon Langley-Evans

This should meet the criteria as an academic with prestigious awards (Nutrition Society Silver Medal is the main award for the nutrition discipline in the UK); he holds a DSc (a rare second doctorate), is editor-in-chief of an academic journal. He has a Web of Science H index of 54 and has a number of highly cited papers. Shakeandvac, that's fine. My main critique wasn't that he didn't pass WP:NPROF but the lack of citations. Every single sentence in the draft must be sourced. It does not matter if you can provide a PubMed search, if there are no sources that it will never be accepted. If you can attach sources for everything, I will gladly accept it. I saw you declined this page. I understand it does not meet the guidelines for political notability; however, I do believe it meets the category for General Notability. Electorally, he performed similarly to Marquita Bradshaw, Merav Ben-David and Paula Jean Swearengin, who each have a wikipedia page despite never having held elected offices.

Chris Cole (politician), 2008 Libertarian Party nominee for the U.S. Senate in North Carolina

Joffejs, I would cite WP:Other stuff exists. Your references do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject. this is an example of in-depth coverage. I believe I have found two additional in-depth coverage pieces, and I have cited them in the article. I am having a little trouble formatting the citation of one of them. Let me know if these suffice

I left a comment. You just need to add citations to two sentences. Also, you need to add four tidals (~) at the end of your sentences to make a ping work. You don't need to ping people when you are talking to them on their own talk page but if you want to notify me anywhere else, you need to add the tidals.
