The characteristics section incorrectly states that Luigi's first appearance was in the arcade Mario Bros., when it should be for the Game & Watch. Additionally, Luigi's confirmed girlfriend is Courtney Gibbs, according to "French": [1] Additionally, Luigi's family also includes Maria (aunt), Luigeena (aunt), Mia Mario (grandmother), Mia Mario (mother), Luigeena (cousin), Marianne (cousin), Marilyn (niece), Mario Joe (cousin), Luigi Bob (cousin), and Tony (uncle). Luigi also had starring roles in the television episodes "Quest for Pizza," "Life's Ruff," and "Mama Luigi." Robot Chicken and Ennuigi are also not official, so they must removed! Luigi was born in Brooklyn, New York, not the Mushroom Kingdom! 2600:1700:1595:8210:9C90:E205:FB6D:5301 (talk) 02:58, 24 March 2021 (UTC)

- Please note that, in addition to the concerns already noted, that some passing dialogue in a a slapstick cartoon from the 90s is not necessarily the authority on a decade and media spanning fictional character. Sergecross73 msg me 14:36, 24 March 2021 (UTC)

Luigi will be voiced by Charlie Day in the upcoming Mario movie. <https://deadline.com/2021/09/super-mario-bros-animated-movie-cast-chris-pratt-charlie-day-anya-taylor-joy-jack-black-seth-rogen-1234843447/ 76.82.51.127 (talk) 23:14, 29 September 2021 (UTC)

Origin of luigi's name
The source for the idea that Luigi's name comes from Mario and Luigi's pizza isn't reputable. The source provides no evidence for the claim, and all other references to the claim appear to just come back here. In addition to this I cannot find any data supporting the idea that the pizza place ever existed. I think that until actual evidence can be provided to this claim it should be removed. Supertrzup1 (talk) 01:37, 3 December 2021 (UTC)
- Yeah, actually you're probably right. Arcade Museum isn't on the master reliable source list, and doesn't look particularly reliable/professional at first glance either. Sergecross73 msg me 01:52, 3 December 2021 (UTC)

Luigi's full name is 'Luigi Mario' not 'Luigi'
sources:
""As for Luigi, he’s “Luigi Mario”."" https://getnews.jp/archives/1144379 https://www.kotaku.com.au/2020/09/mario-luigi-surname-mario-bros/amp/ https://nintendoeverything.com/miyamoto-says-marios-full-name-is-mario-mario/ 86.14.84.70 (talk) 19:17, 10 March 2022 (UTC)
- Not done: I'm hesitant to perform this request.
getnews.jp
is a foreign source that I cannot evaluate. While Kotaku is reliable per WP:VG/RS the Kotaku article leans on Nintendo Everything quite a bit which is unreliable per WP:VG/RS. Kotaku also cites Charles Martinet making the claim in a YouTube video but YouTube videos aren't accepted as sources, especially when not from an officially tagged account, and Charles Martinet wouldn't be the authority on his name. Further investigation shows there is apparent confusion as the claim of his last name beingMario
is due to the 1993 film wherein the producers made his name that. The confusion is further perpetuated as allegedly back in 2012 the last name beingLuigi Mario
was explicitly denied by Nintendo. - I digress, with the sources given, I don't think I can confidently make that his full name. Another editor is free to be like
Sirdog, you are being silly
and implement it freely, though. I am known for silliness. —Sirdog (talk) 01:08, 11 March 2022 (UTC)

Under Concept and Creation, in the last paragraph, is the sentence "in the previously mentioned anime he wore a yellow shirt, a blue hat, and blue overalls and the color of his hat and overalls were blue."
Please change this to "in the previously mentioned anime he wore a yellow shirt, a blue hat, and blue overalls." since it sounds more like a real sentence. Purplemontart (talk) 16:53, 1 August 2022 (UTC)
