AFD tag removal

[edit]

Please stop removing Articles for deletion notices or comments from articles and Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Notable animated series finales (1990s) — it is considered vandalism. You may comment at the respective page if you oppose an article's deletion. Thanks. (This also refers to Notable animated series finales (1980s) and Notable animated series finales (2000s). These AFDs have closed, but please remember this in the future.) --Coredesat 06:28, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No reasons were given, which I think is what is needed to make such nominations plausible, there should be a rule demanding that valid and appropriate credentials be given to why the articles should be taken out. If it said "should be merged in Series Finale", I would NOT have deleted it. But since it had nothing, I deleted it.

Image tagging for Image:4439224.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:4439224.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This edit summary is uncalled for

[edit]

Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks will lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. Homefill 19:06, 28 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You've made plenty of insults yourself pal. Pot, kettle, black. Leave the FG guides alone. I've reported your "clean up" efforts, expect ALL FG episodes to be locked until you cease your activities on the guides and go elsewhere here.

Dr. R.KZ. 21:01, 28th March 2007 (UTC)

Stop trying to make a POINT

[edit]

Please stop the reverting. By your own admission, you are doing it to be disruptive. This sort of behavior, coupled with your history of personal attacks marks you as an editor that is missing the whole point of Wikipedia, let alone AGF. We have a legitimate disagreement about editorial style; the place to settle it is on the articles talkpage and through our diuspute resolution process, not by making personal attacks on other editors. I must demand that you stop characterizing the edits of other editors as vandalism, that you follow our policy of [[WP:|assuming good faith]], and that you stop with the personal attacks. Thank you. Homefill 21:13, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It is my opinion that what you do is constantly vadalize and impede the structure of a very informative structured environment. What you consider that opinion to be in your own view is no concern of mine.

I have read on your own user page that you now regret your "harsher hand approach" and are having second thoughts of going around the, aggresive means of addressing people who fight to retain the "Cultural References", keep up that behaviour and maybe I WILL respect your stance

And please stop pressing the "Yale school rule book" of what passes for procedures in my face. Speak like an individual without them for once. One would think you're taking a non-paying job far too seriously.

This is your last warning. The next time you delete or blank page contents or templates from Wikipedia, you will be blocked from editing. Momusufan 16:03, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you are referring to the Doctor Who episodes, I did that because they were too elongated, look at other serial summaries to see how a plot should be detailed in an article. I cleaned it up, that should not be considered "Vandalism", but rather an attempt at clarifying the article.

I've nominated Superman III: The Junkyard Cut, an article you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Superman III: The Junkyard Cut satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion; I have explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Superman III: The Junkyard Cut and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Superman III: The Junkyard Cut during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Phydend 21:03, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Remove it. The project's been dead for months. No argument from me.

Commercial use of Image:Prsuperlegends.jpg

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Prsuperlegends.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Prsuperlegends.jpg is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only" or "used with permission for use on Wikipedia only" which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3).

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:Prsuperlegends.jpg itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. If you have any questions about what to do next or why your image was nominated for speedy deletion please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thanks. --Android Mouse Bot 2 00:50, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The IP vandal I referred to was the one editing the article right before you, and I inadvertently reverted your edits as well. No reason to resort to name calling for an honest mistake. In fact, you did the same thing by reverting me again, thereby putting back the anon's edits as well.--Atlan (talk) 11:35, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:C719391q8gr.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:C719391q8gr.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 09:46, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 05:22, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please use more edit summaries

[edit]

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field - please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. Orphaned non-free media (Image:A545ac193ada816bae3432f068b93688.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:A545ac193ada816bae3432f068b93688.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 00:52, 7 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. A contribution you made to John Cena appears to carry a non-neutral point of view, and your edit may have been changed or reverted to correct the problem. Please remember to observe our core policies. Thank you. Zenlax T C S 19:01, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Star Trek movie curse

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Star Trek movie curse, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Judgesurreal777 (talk) 20:09, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion/merging of DBZ characters is going on by stealth. I've gone to deletion review to ask about the legitimacy of the decisions. Feel free to come too here :http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Deletion_review/Log/2008_September_27

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to The Waters of Mars, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. ╟─TreasuryTagcontribs─╢ 19:14, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oh for the love of....

Please try and remain civil. Our content policy states that all material is to be supported by reliable, third-party sources referenced in the article. Mentioning in a very rude edit-summary that John Barrowman confirmed your claims on TV does not satisfy the requirement. Read over this advice on how to cite television programmes, and that will probably enable you to include the information appropriately. Thanks. ╟─TreasuryTagcontribs─╢ 20:09, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The rumors about the Power Rangers

[edit]

I learned about recent reports about the show being canceled but at the same time there have been rumors floating around Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Seasons 1-3 being reaired and unedited in place of a new season if this talk about RPM being canceled is true so don't go and jump the gun yet. At the same time there has also been mention about Bandai making new MMPR toys outside of the Super Legends toyline if its confirmed about the return of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers on tv. Louis Marinucci 03:30, 8 August 2009 (UTC) (UTC)RedPolarBearRanger (talk)

I was not jumping the gun, I was very much itterating Bandai WERE initiating damage control, this was BEFORE MMPR's HD remastering or other toylines were announced in mentioning.

AfD nomination of Grimlord

[edit]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Grimlord. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Grimlord. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:05, 8 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Dr. R.K.Z! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 8 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 710 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

The article Carlos Cabrera has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unfreferenced BLP, sourced only to a WWE fan site.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. File permission problem with File:Fantom.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Fantom.jpg, which you've sourced to http://www.super3.net/imgserie/fantom.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 00:43, 7 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Breakfast Serials has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Appears to fail notability guidelines

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
