Rozen Maidens

[edit]

A repost of what I've said at the article discussion:

Umm...I'm sorry, but summaries are supposed to be....well, summarized. Your article is much too long and also doesn't fit with Wikipedia's own article policies. Try checking this out: What Wikipedia is not. KojieroSaske 05:29, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How Can I delete An Article?

Only administrators can delete articles. You can, however, request that an article is deleted. In some limited circumstances, you can request immediate deletion; see Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion for what can be deleted immediately and how. Otherwise, see proposed deletion and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion for two other ways to have an article deleted. Hope that helps! --ais523 17:17, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

Images on your user page

[edit]

I'm sorry, I know you must be very frustrated by this, but as I've tried to explain before, Wikipedia policy doesn't allow you to use images licensed as "fair-use" on your user page. It might help if you take a look at specific instructions for what you can't have on a user page. We're not trying to pick on you and I think the story is wonderful, its just that legally, Wikipedia can't allow those images to be used on user pages. Thanks for understanding. Shell babelfish 03:41, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay... i deeply understand about the user page stuff... at least see the articles i've made and see if they need more editing!

Sir aaron sama girl 21:45, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ack...

[edit]

I respect your enthusiasm for Rozen Maiden, but PLEASE work with us a bit. I've already marked your previous summary article for deletion, and explained to you why. Having to mark a second article for deletion is not what I wish to do. Unfortunately, Wikipedia is NOT the place for episode summaries. I ask that you PLEASE take a look here: What Wikipedia is Not.

The character list and soundtrack list are fine, but please work with the rest of us. Despite being a place where everyone can freely edit articles, there are some rules which must be followed. KojieroSaske 22:15, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am so sorry about that...but there is one T.V. anime series that you don't have an article on and that is Asseta no houkou, anyways, sorry!

Sir aaron sama girl 16:27, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Uh...yes we do have that one actually. You've mispelled the title. It's Asatte no Houkou. KojieroSaske 17:43, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

do you have an article on munekyun! heartful cafe? the only thing i know about it is that it's an Anime and a Visual Novel!

Sir aaron sama girl 19:55, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Eheh...I do hope you realize that that happens to be a hentai-game, right? Not to mention, there are only two OVA episodes made and very little information about it on the internet. If you're interested in creating new articles, a bit of research is generally helpful in determining which ones should or should not have a place on Wikipedia. Mune kyun! Heartful Cafe unfortunately does not seem like a good choice given how there is not much to be said of it.
I'm not here to direct you to what should be created. Quite frankly, I'd be happy if you went ahead and made articles on what you think deserve one. As an online encyclopedia, Wikipedia cannot grow if people do not constantly add meaningful articles. However, it'd be best if you read up a bit on how Wikipedia works, what kind of information an article should have, and other such policies. By understanding these policies, you'll be able to fully contribute to Wikipedia without any problems.
List of Policies may be a good place to get a hang of Wikipedia's ins and outs. With that being said, I wish you good luck in your future edits to Wikipedia. =P KojieroSaske 21:18, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rozen Maiden Soundtracks

[edit]

Could you put into the article a list of the sites that you are using for the title translations? It'd be really helpful to have some references for the article. KojieroSaske 20:47, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not post copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Rugrats lost episodes. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites (http://www.rugratonline.com/rreplost.htm in this case) or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Rugrats lost episodes with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on the article Talk page. Alternatively, you may create a note on your web page releasing the work under the GFDL and then leave a note at Talk:Rugrats lost episodes with a link to the details.

It is also important that the text be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and that it follows Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you would like to begin working on a new version of the article you may do so at Talk:Rugrats lost episodes/Temp. Leave a note at Talk:Rugrats lost episodes saying you have done so and an administrator will move the new article into place once the issue is resolved. Your original contributions are welcome.

Your Rozen Maiden Story

[edit]

I have removed the lengthy fanfiction based on Rozen Maiden from your user page because Wikipedia is not a webspace provider, blog, or fanfiction service. If you wish to upload your story to the internet, please look into fanfiction websites, which are in abundance, a free web host[1], or a blog. --Derek1980 04:29, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Somyoo Entertainment

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Somyoo Entertainment, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Iknowyourider (t c) 17:55, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Uploaded images

[edit]

Hi there, I noticed that you're having trouble with the images you've uploaded. The images you uploaded claim to be under "fair use" as per the copyright templates you used, but you did not supply a fair use rationale to explain why they fall under fair use. This is necessary when using copyrighted images for Wikipedia articles. Additionally, providing a URL that directly links to the image or links to a fansite is not a sufficient source; you need to provide information as to who created the image (artist, copyright holder, etc.), and where it's from (Is it the cover of a comic? Is it a page from a comic? If so, what volume/issue is it from?).

Please don't forget to view these pages too: WP:UPIMAGE and WP:NFURG. The first one will tell you about what you need to do when uploading images, and the second one will help you understand what's meant by a "fair use rationale". If you need more help, please don't hesitate to let me know through my talk page. :) -- SilentAria talk 15:41, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Yep, you pretty much got it down correctly, but please don't forget to specify which articles the images are used in, as per what is stated in the WP:NFURG: "A separate rationale must be provided each time the image is used in an article." :) -- SilentAria talk 15:51, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

An article that you have been involved in editing, Alice (Rozen Maiden episode), has been listed for deletion. If you are interested in the deletion discussion, please participate by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Alice (Rozen Maiden episode). Thank you. Images

[edit]

Hello. Many of the images that you have uploaded are non-free images and lack a fair-use rationale, making them liable for deletion under WP:NONFREE. I have tagged most of the images you have uploaded as not having a fair-use rationale as such. Please add a fair-use rationale, or your images will be deleted in a week. See Image:HitsugayaShikaiAnimeEp48.jpg, an anime picture I have uploaded, and Image:ハレ晴レユカイcover.jpg, an album cover, for two examples of a fair-use rationale that are relevant to most of the pictures you have uploaded. Thank you and happy editing. Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 07:43, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Shugo Chara

[edit]

I'm the original creator if the first wikipedia Shugo Chara article. I left you a message here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Shugo_Chara%21 In the future, please be a bit more mature than to delete and redo articles so that you can pretend to have been the original creator. This is not a contest. As you can see from my comment on the other talk page, the original history of who REALLY began Shugo Chara on wiki still remains. You just made yourself look extremely foolish. -- NatsukiGirl\talk 21:04, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Talk:Rozen Maiden OST. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as the text has been restored from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. If the image can only be used on Wikipedia, then it must be removed, as Wikipedia, under the rules of the GFDL license, can, and will, be copied all over the place, including in print form. Corvus cornix 22:29, 25 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of TieLeaf

[edit]

A tag has been placed on TieLeaf requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

I'm not deleting the article; I'm merely tagging it for an administrator's review. And, by the way:
Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from articles you have created yourself. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. Deor 04:01, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Lipaura.gif)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Lipaura.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 02:17, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Doremi discography

[edit]

Hello, I'm the owner of the website Royal Patraine (it's not titled "Pirika Patraine", for your reference) and while I'm impressed at how you've extended more Doremi content, I'm a bit miffed at how you seem to treat this as less than an article. Please put more thought to it than just copy-pasting content from my website. Thanks! Blackarcadia (talk) 00:11, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:ROZENMAID2img002.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:ROZENMAID2img002.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 04:04, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:41Shimotsuki-1-.jpg

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:41Shimotsuki-1-.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Stifle (talk) 11:50, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just several things I thought I should notify you about.

[edit]

Hello there, I first noticed you when you were posting on the Rozen Maiden discussion board, about the nationalities of the seven Rozen Maiden dolls. I got reading your talk page and decided I'd drop you a "note".

To add to the comments made on your Rozen Maiden nationality theory, I believe this information is only trivial. It would be like adding the doll's/characters' blood types, which doesn't matter too much in what part of the world we live in, but yet it's still interesting information, to me at least. I'd like to back up your claim though. We notice that Hinaichigo is in fact from France. In the manga, she speaks French, as well as there is a "for sale" sign in French where Hinaichigo lives. And Shinku is most definitely from London. It is stated on character page itself that Shinku's medium lived in 19th century London. For the most part, some of this information may actually be substantiated.

Also, I'd like to point out I don't think Suigintou would be Japanese. Due to her connection with Megu believing she is an "angel" and the fact that Suigintou has white Christian crosses on her dress would incline me to believe that her personality would be somewhat Roman Catholic or something like that. The same would be for Barasuishou, but I don't know what nationality she would represent. This is a very good idea (since cultural personalities are a rarity in many mangas, as I've seen) and I encourage you to do some research on it if you can.

I've also noticed that you like to do a lot of editing for Rozen Maiden. It's cool that you're an extreme enthusiast. And also that we're both 14. But I notice one flaw in the way that you direct yourself around the site.

You don't seem very familiar with the rules that apply to Wikipedia, and that's okay. I encourage you to take advice that's given to you and whatnot ^-^ If you need any help making edits, I'd be glad to give you some personal assistance if you need it. Just drop by my talk page. Personally, my first big break with editing was on the article Chobits and I had many things to say in the discussion area of that article as well. In the aftermath of me getting involved in the development of that article, I learned that the key to getting any article started or fixed up is CONVERSATION. It'll get you a lot farther than just doing your edits and keeping to yourself, TRUST MEH!

I'm just here to get you off to a better start, because I can see that you're frustrated, have lots of ideas and you don't know where to begin. Just take the advice that's given to you as CONSTRUCTIVE criticism and you'll do fine. I had the same stuff thrown at me when I was relatively new to Wiki and I thought it was rude, but looking back on it I guess it's more like I learned an actual lesson.

Fair use rationale for File:Peach-Pit.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Peach-Pit.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Rettetast (talk) 21:39, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article The Society On Da Run has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Series of ebooks, no evidence that any of them meet our notability guidelines, no mention of critical reception by reliable reviewers.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 03:05, 1 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The Society On Da Run (mostly abbreviated as TSODR) is a series of popular Science Fiction chapbooks, by American writer Nipaporn Baldwin. Baldwin started the series in 2004 and published the first book as an ebook. On November 11, 2011; a print edition was published with the title "Thedragongod's Society On Da Run." There are now twelve chapbooks published in ebook form and one 17,000-word prequel novel.

The story is about the Space Dragon empire Draconizica and the humans and creatures they interact with. It takes place on Earth in the Roman era, Victorian Era, Modern era, and the future, as well as on various other planets, most notably the Dragon homeworld. The characters vary from Dragons, the Crotonians (a rival alien race), humans, faeries and other creatures. The chapbooks are told from many viewpoints in both first person and third, and in the form of poetry and short stories.

There are a few main storylines that are prominent throughout the series. Such plotlines intorduced so far are: the Dragons going to war with humanity in the future after years of enslavement; the journey of Unknown Girl on the search for her mother in a post-Dragon war world; Narcissus Cartwright's relationship with Ashuton Karrucci (the god of Dragons); the Human-Dragon prejudice war on Draconizica, as told by a civilian; and the life of the seventeen eligible crown princes of the Antonin Empre.

Notability

[edit]
[edit]

Reliable Sources

[edit]

Hi! I don't mean to come down so harsh, but I just wanted to make sure that you're aware of what is needed to pass notability guidelines per WP:NBOOK. A reliable source would be something along the lines of Publisher's Weekly, Science Fiction Research Association, or Dear Author writing an in-depth article about the series. A goodreads review, no matter who reviewed it, does not count as a reliable source since it's something that anyone can edit. Now if a huge group of notable and reliable critics (at least about 3-5 or more) reviewed the book, that would potentially give it notability. The tricky part is is what is considered to be notable and reliable as far as reviews go. Generally the reviewer would have to be very, very notable ala Charlaine Harris or Peter Hamilton (as far as authors go) or be a reviewer for a major review site such as The Guardian or PW. It should be noted that this doesn't fall under WP:NOTINHERITED since the series wouldn't be assuming notability from these authors- the large amount of notable authors and critics reviewing the book would show that the book has achieved notability. Niche authors such as Jess Scott might be popular amongst their followers and even be able to make a living off of their work, but they aren't generally considered to be notable enough to be considered a reliable source. It's sort of tricky, to be honest. The best rule of thumb is to create a user page, polish it up, and ask for help to ensure that it passes notability guidelines. Wikipedia:WikiProject Books is an invaluable resource as far as creating new articles go and the users there can definitely help you as far as ensuring the sources given are reliable and that you have enough of them.Tokyogirl79 (talk) 07:14, 1 December 2011 (UTC)tokyogirl79[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The article Dilettante (album) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable. Can't find sources

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
