Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit that you made to User talk:Poonamparekh has been reverted or removed because it was a misuse of a warning or blocking template. - Sorry for the template but exactly what Jim1138 warned you about, we don't jump immediately to a level 4 warning especially with brand new users... WP:BITE. EoRdE6(Come Talk to Me!) 16:09, 26 October 2017 (UTC)
- @EoRdE6: That person was spamming 7 pages with some random links he savaged off Google. Ok, I agree lv4 was too harsh, but lv1 is too lenient. Maybe a 3 would be fine. Darius robin (talk) 16:48, 26 October 2017 (UTC)

Message for Darius
I and Guy have edited and approved the writeup on "problems" associated with iOS 11. Please do not remove it without first discussing on the talk board. Please provide justifications for the removal, since these issues were widely discussed in the media with plenty of citations. If you do work for Apple, then there is a conflict of interests here. Wikipedia is for the public, and hence the inclusion of the issues. Fellow007 (talk) 16:27, 31 October 2017 (UTC)
- @Fellow007: Please see the articles for the previous versions of iOS, we don’t mention every single issue faced, only significantly major ones (we have three right now). And we don’t use Apple Support as a source. Darius robin (talk) 16:29, 31 October 2017 (UTC)
- @Darius: Those issues written were major that were reported in major news media that deserve mention in Wikipedia. These are public news media. Why are you censoring it? Do you work for Apple? If so, there is a conflict of interests here and you shouldn't be editong. Wikipedia is for the public. Fellow007 (talk) 16:34, 31 October 2017 (UTC)
- @Fellow007: Most of them are unsourced, and the ones that are sourced are already mentioned in the article. And FYI, I do not work for Apple. Stop assuming things. Darius robin (talk) 16:36, 31 October 2017 (UTC)
- @Darius: I saw you also removed the section on "iOS versions" wikipedia page. You removed the whole writeup and not keeping any citations. Your actions are much like censorship and not revealing public facts and new media. I would like other editors to chip in for discussion. Meantime, may I suggest you retract from you undo? I will put forward to Wiki admin for discussion and approval Fellow007 (talk) 16:42, 31 October 2017 (UTC)
- @Fellow007: Your so-called write-up of "severe issues" is just a list of issues faced by a few people. We mention only widespread and sourced info. You mentioned all those issues on the iOS version history article but only gave citations for the battery issues. And yes, you are welcome to ask an admin for comment on this. Darius robin (talk) 16:50, 31 October 2017 (UTC)
- @Fellow007: You need to be more courteous and stop asking to get me blocked. I read the sources properly. All the sources are about the battery problems, and the problems you mentioned are not included by the sources. I suggest you find better sources then try to add it back. Darius robin (talk) 17:37, 31 October 2017 (UTC)
- @Darius: I am courteous, as shown by my writings and reply. Also, it is not true that all sources are about battery as you had claimed. Do read through the references carefully again. There is a reference to apps slowing down. Another reference to iPhone crashes, freezes, and reboot. Fellow007 (talk) 19:30, 31 October 2017 (UTC)

Iphone x
Hi there, Regarding reverting the contribution in the iphone x article as you said old iphone pages are not formatted like that. Just so you know: The formatting, including the lens offset parameter, were taken from the iphone 6 article. Have a good one. JBX (talk) 17:58, 7 November 2017 (UTC)
- @JBX: That parameter does not work, and we don’t use that format anymore, see the iPhone 6S, 7 and 8 articles. Darius robin (talk) 18:14, 7 November 2017 (UTC)
- @Darius robin: Parameter should have been removed indeed, whether thickness should mention lens thickness should be discussed in an iphone article discussion. JBX (talk) 18:23, 7 November 2017 (UTC)
- @JBX: Many phones have camera humps, but we don’t mention lens thickness anywhere. If you want, you could add it to the "camera" parameter with a suitable source. Darius robin (talk) 18:26, 7 November 2017 (UTC)

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
I noticed your recent edit to IPhone X does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Looks like you are almost never using edit summaries... Hard to know motivations/justifications behind edits. —DIYeditor (talk) 15:04, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
- @DIYeditor: Thanks, but I normally do add edit summaries, see my contributions page, I just forgot it this time. Darius robin (talk) 15:07, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
- Of the last 50 edits the vast majority of those to article space were without edit summaries. —DIYeditor (talk) 15:14, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
- @DIYeditor: The first few (15-20 edits of iDevices) were very tedious and I had to do it in a matter of minutes as I didn’t have time. Some other editors don’t even bother to touch that edit summary box, please warn them. Darius robin (talk) 15:18, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
- That doesn't account for all the edits without a summary. I do warn editors when I notice this but the overwhelming majority do leave summaries for every edit. Can't say I run into this issue very often. I don't think using a mobile device to edit or being pressed for time is a good justification for not doing it. It's confusing and makes collaboration difficult. Thanks. —DIYeditor (talk) 15:27, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
- @DIYeditor: I’m not saying that all of my edits have summaries, but most do. It was just unfortunate that you went through my contributions page just after I updated those 15-20 articles a few hours back, that doesn’t normally happen. Darius robin (talk) 15:32, 10 November 2017 (UTC)

The OnePlus 5T is being revealed today. We have a draft at Draft:OnePlus 5T. I will try and do a page swap when the announcement starts, but if I don't then please request it at WP:RM/TR. In the meantime feel free to do any work on the article. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 14:29, 16 November 2017 (UTC)
- @Emir of Wikipedia: Yes. So we’ll request the move first then add the info, or vice-versa? Darius robin (talk) 14:52, 16 November 2017 (UTC)
- I can do the move myself as I'm have the pagemover right. It is just that I prefer for the phone to have actually be announced to comply with WP:CRYSTALBALL. You just work on adding any information that you can. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 14:57, 16 November 2017 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Electronic compass (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hi Could you create the article ? --Panam2014 (talk) 16:29, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
- @Panam2014: There’s already a draft at Draft:Samsung Galaxy S9. You can work on that until the official unveiling, after which it will be moved to the namespace. 13:39, 12 February 2018 (UTC)
- Like to Samsung Galaxy S8 last year I think we could move the article. --Panam2014 (talk) 13:50, 12 February 2018 (UTC)
- @Panam2014: If we do that, it may get deleted. Best to keep working on the draft until it’s officially announced. D4R1U5 (talk) 16:55, 12 February 2018 (UTC)
- But why the S8 page was kept on the "main" without being deleted then? --Panam2014 (talk) 17:25, 12 February 2018 (UTC)
- @Panam2014: Since then, we’ve tried moving some other phone articles to the main, but they always ended up getting deleted. The problem is that there’s no "official" source that says that the S9 is actually going to get launched on the 25th, the invite only shows a giant 9. D4R1U5 (talk) 03:10, 13 February 2018 (UTC)
- But secondary sources of qualities exist, and these have analyzed the meaning of "9". By the way, how did you do to have an exception for the S8?--Panam2014 (talk) 09:23, 13 February 2018 (UTC)
- @Panam2014: I know, and everyone knows that that "9" is for the S9, but there’s no official proof. That’s required. I don’t know how the S8 thing went up before the official announcement. I tried moving articles like OnePlus 5 to the main before launch, but they always ended up being deleted. D4R1U5 (talk) 12:08, 13 February 2018 (UTC)

But maybe the S9 is better known than the OnePlus. --Panam2014 (talk) 12:10, 13 February 2018 (UTC)
- @Panam2014: Yes, but I don’t think it’s worth risking it, if it’s deleted, we lose all the current content in the draft. I think it’s just better we wait until the 25th. D4R1U5 (talk) 12:15, 13 February 2018 (UTC)
- An article can not be deleted in two days. I think we can rename.--Panam2014 (talk) 16:27, 23 February 2018 (UTC)
- @Panam2014: I think it’s best we wait, and when the event starts, we’ll move it. Can’t risk at this time. D4R1U5 (talk) 17:35, 23 February 2018 (UTC)

Avoiding the redirect of Aston Martin in Formula One
Hi, you may have noticed that I un-did this edit of yours: Special:Diff/938594338. But due to a miss-click I was unable to continue the edit summary. Although I continued it a null edit I thought it would be beneficial to also put it here in case you aren't watching the page.
But simply I feel it would be preferable to keep the redirect there in the event that Aston Martin's Formula One efforts warrant a separate article. At this stage there isn't even any evidence to suggest they will be linked to Aston Martin Racing in any way other than they have the same parent team. Because Aston Martin's F1 efforts may one day require a separate article it is much easier to keep that redirect in use so that should that article be created we wouldn't need to change as many links (if any at all). Thanks for your understanding.

Jüri Vips
Hi. I hate using an WP:OTHERSTUFF-type argument, but this situation very closely mirrors that of Kyle Larson in 2020. That article does not censor the use of the n-word in his quote, and neither should the one on Vips. It provides full context to the reader on what he said instead of the vague "racial slur". I understand that it can make some people uncomfortable, it certainly does to me, but WP:NOTCENSORED is an important part of the "What Wikipedia is not" guideline that cannot be ignored. -"Ghost of Dan Gurney" 13:12, 22 June 2022 (UTC)

Dorna Sports
In your edit adding {{cn}} it's unclear what you want referencing? All of it? It would be helpful to clarify - you could format it as {{cn|date|reason=this, this and this}}. Thank you.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 18:30, 7 August 2022 (UTC)
@Rocknrollmancer: I've always used that same tag, so did not realize there was anything wrong with it. But thanks, I'll do that next time. I wanted a reference for all the content after the previous ref. D4R1U5 (talk) 23:01, 7 August 2022 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Toddy1. I noticed that you recently made an edit to NDTV in which your edit summary did not appear to describe the change you made. You changed every to most, but your edit summary said Grammar. It was not a grammatical correction. It was a change of meaning. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.-- Toddy1 (talk) 09:50, 18 September 2022 (UTC)

DYK for India: The Modi Question
On 16 February 2023, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article India: The Modi Question, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the BBC documentary India: The Modi Question, which examines the career of Indian prime minister Narendra Modi, was banned in India? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/India: The Modi Question. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, India: The Modi Question), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Introduction to contentious topics
You have recently edited a page related to India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic designated as contentious. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially-designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Define "unserious" review.
What do you mean my "unserious"? Is it something defined by wiki editing standards or you play the boss and decide what is serious and what is not serious? 24thHusbandofDraupathi (talk) 10:08, 12 August 2023 (UTC)

KICK Sauber C44. Island92 (talk) 15:19, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
- Yea I understand, but I was thinking the article name would be Sauber C44 and the lead would mention “branded as the kick Sauber c44” for sponsorship reasons”. But it’s fine either way. D4R1U5 (talk) 15:59, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
- You're right. Despite being the first case, the base wikilink must be without sponsor, mentioning it in the lead. Island92 (talk) 16:06, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
- Alright great! D4R1U5 (talk) 18:10, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
- It doesn't work per SSSB user. See history page where I explained my reasons, as well as SSSB talk page. I'm disappointed. The sponsor has nothing to do with the main wikilink at all. Island92 (talk) 09:25, 19 December 2023 (UTC)
- Yeah it's disappointing but I guess we can wait and see how this progresses and whether anyone is actually going to call it "Kick Sauber C44", then move it accordingly. D4R1U5 (talk) 10:07, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
