Thanks for the excellent contributions on aircraft end engines! You might want to add future contributions to the List of aircraft and list of aircraft engines. Cheers --Rlandmann 13:33, 6 Feb 2004 (UTC)
Hi - the "Designation series" in the footer is intended to link together the various aircraft in a particular designation scheme. Ideally, a user should be able to follow the series through from aircraft to aircraft all the way through a particular designation scheme. I'm reverting your changes on the Tu-124 page, but if you want to discuss this, please come over to Wikipedia:WikiProject Aircraft/Footer. Cheers --Rlandmann 09:41, 18 Mar 2004 (UTC)
Wow - nice work on the Tupolev page!!! I might also add a list of Tupolev aircraft to provide a straight numerical list as well... --Rlandmann 14:02, 26 Mar 2004 (UTC)
I've noted your changes to the Tupolev Tu-204 footer. Rather than get into an edit war over this, I hope we can come to some amicable solution. The footer is a standard type being applied to all aircraft across Wikipedia by Wikipedia:WikiProject Aircraft participants. As I suggested previously, please come over and discuss this on Wikipedia:WikiProject Aircraft/Footer if you think there are problems with it, but otherwise, Tupolev aircraft should have the same footer that every other manufacturer does... --Rlandmann 04:43, 30 Mar 2004 (UTC)
I've responded to your comments on the footer page - please take a look. Also, I'm trying to get the ball rolling on a standard data table for aero engines, and would appreciate your input here. --Rlandmann 01:16, 7 Apr 2004 (UTC)
Hume highway maps...
Thank you so much for producing the Hume Highway map. Much appreciated! --Robert Merkel 06:02, 26 Jul 2004 (UTC)
Source files for images...
My practice with drawn images, like your Hume Highway work, is to upload the source files to the Wikipedia as well, and add links to these from the (bitmap) image description page. Have you considered doing this? --Robert Merkel 11:12, 11 Aug 2004 (UTC)
WikiProject Melbourne
Thanks for starting the highways work off, with all the other areas we're covering, these have been ignored until now! You might want to add yourself to the list of participants as well. T.P.K. 08:32, 29 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Article Licensing
Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:
- Multi-Licensing FAQ - Lots of questions answered
- Multi-Licensing Guide
- Free the Rambot Articles Project
To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:
- Option 1
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
OR
- Option 2
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)
- Please consider multi-licensing your maps -- they would be very useful over at Wikitravel! Jpatokal 13:37, 12 July 2005 (UTC)
Image tag
Hi! Thanks for uploading the following image:
I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status?
You can use gfdl if you wish to release your own work under the GNU Free Documentation License, PD-self if you wish to release your own work to the public domain, fairuse if you claim fair use of someone else's work, and so on. Click here for a list of the various tags.
If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know at my talk page where you got the image from, and I'll tag it for you. (And if you know exactly what this means and are really tired of the constant reminders, please excuse me. They will stop once the tagging project is complete.) Thanks so much. Denni☯ 23:16, 2004 Dec 18 (UTC)
P.S. You can help tag other images at Wikipedia:Untagged_Images. Thanks again.

Highway maps
Hi there - I like your highway maps that you have done for various states - how did you create them? Do you want to do one for Tasmania as well? -- Chuq 04:18, 18 September 2005 (UTC)
Hi, please add your source for this photo and Image:Tu160.jpg. Thuresson 21:51, 21 December 2005 (UTC)
Image Tagging Image:Easy.gc.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Easy.gc.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use GFDL to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as article name or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Stan 05:32, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
Australian states
Hi, just wanted to say thanks for the great roadmaps on Australian states. Here's a barnstar :) I have used them to make many locator maps for towns, such as Image:Avoca location map in Victoria.PNG. (I also combined your two victorian maps into one for the victorian ones, hope thats ok) Regards, -- Astrokey44|talk 05:10, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
- I second the barnstar! 202.191.106.244 14:34, 18 April 2006 (UTC) (Maestrosync)
I see that you are listed as a participant in the WikiProject Melbourne. If you are a Melbourne resident I would appreciate your views on the suggested Meetup in March . Please give some indication of your interest, or otherwise, in the idea. Even a simple "No thanks" with your user name would be welcome and assist in assessing the level of support for a meetup. Thank you.. Cuddy Wifter 06:30, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

Tu-22M and SALT
Fikri - On March 11, 2004, you added this statement to the PSC Tupolev article:
In the 1970's development were concentated in improving the performance and lethality of the Tu-22M bombers which spawned many capable variants including maritime versions. It is the presence of these bombers in quantity that brought about the SALT treaties.
That's a pretty interesting idea, but do you have a reference? I don't find it implausible, but none of the accounts that I have found allude to this. I'd like to know more, if you have details on this - Crosbiesmith 22:51, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
Hume Highway map
did you really make this? it just looks too commercial (sorry, I know that sounds bad...). If you made it based on another map which is copyrighted isn't it a derivative work so still covered by the same copyright (or is that trying to copyright facts rather than the work itself)?
Having said that... would you be able to come up with some for the M2, M4, F3?

Replaceable fair use images
Image:Etops.120.180.gif
This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:Etops.120.180.gif. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a free image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add Replaceable fair use disputed
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Quadell (talk) (random) 13:53, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

New England Hwy - distance sign
G'day Fikri,
This image on the New England Highway page has a typo - pretty sure there's only one 'n' in Glen Innes.

Image:Warregohwy.png listed for deletion
An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Warregohwy.png, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. I'd like you to check the distances on this image as it is impossible for Maitland and Newcastle to be 3 kilometres apart. Also it would be a good idea if you reuploaded it as a PNG image, not a JPG. Harryboyles 10:00, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
