KUPT is a television station in Hobbs, New Mexico, broadcasting locally on channel 29 analog, digital 16, as an affiliate of My Network TV.

KUPT's programming can also be seen on KMYL channel 14 in Lubbock, Texas. On January 1, 2006, KUPT switched to channel 14 in Lubbock and previously broadcast on channel 22 as a UPN affiliate in Lubbock until channel 22 became the WB affiliate on that same date KWBZ.

In 1995, KUPT began broadcasting with the advent of the United Paramount Network (UPN). KUPT's first broadcast featured a continuous marathon telecast of the original Star Trek television series. Following the marathon, the station broadcast a locally produced Texas Tech Football game from the Albuquerque NM. The station also broadcast UPN network programming and syndicated programming, which included Star Trek: Voyager. On September 5, 2006 the station began broadcasting as an affiliate of the new My Network TV network. The station also broadcasts 50 some basketball games each year from Texas Tech University and the Big 12 Conference.

Note

While KUPT is focused on the Lubbock television market, the city that the station's main license and transmitter is based in -- Hobbs, New Mexico -- is within the Odessa / Midland market.
