Shortcuts

The reward board is an informal page where users who want a specific task related to Wikipedia (such as the promotion of an article to featured article status) can offer a reward to editors willing to take on the task, similar to the German edition's de:Wikipedia:Auftragsarbeiten. The execution and details of the transaction are the responsibility of the participating parties, and the reward can be monetary, goods (books, cookies, etc.) or tit-for-tat editing (like improving another article).

Reward board is similar to the bounty board, where a donation to the Wikimedia Foundation is awarded for an article's promotion to featured status instead of payment to a specific editor.

The Wikimedia Foundation is not hiring and no payments are made by the Foundation. This is purely a page for editors to offer rewards to other editors.

How to offer a reward

If you would like to offer a reward such as the ones below, simply add an entry to appropriate category below. Add all the details that you feel are relevant to the reward, in a format similar to this pattern:

  • Request: I need a free photograph (includes GFDL or CC) of Crush 40, featuring both band members Johnny Gioeli and Jun Senoue (since you're not going to find the entire band together in one photo, though they are still playing). Unfortunately, they don't perform live, so you won't be able to find a photo someone took at a show for it. My recommendation is to ask for permission for one of the photos of them at their MySpace page or at Jun Senoue's official fanisite (a better quality image is better) and have it uploaded with validated OTRS. Copyright violations and fair use images will not count, since this is being used for an infobox. I'm also very good at picking out copyright violations, so don't try it, either.
