This article includes the album discography of Michael Jackson. Listed are all the albums in order of their release. Included are US, Canada, UK, France (in this country compilations are charted appart) and Australia chart positions, RIAA certifications, BPI certifications, CRIA certifications, SNEP certifications, AMPROFON certifications, IFPI Germany certifications, ARIA certifications, NVPI certifications, IFPI Sweden certifications, IFPI Switzerland certifications, ZPAV certifications, IFPI Hong Kong certifications, IFPI Austria certifications, IFPI Finland certifications, RIANZ certifications, with relative and worldwide sales figures. No official tracking system exists to track worldwide sales. Not all the certifications of the associations were launched in 1958 like RIAA, for example ARIA launched Gold & Platinum Awards in 1983, ZPAV in 1995 etc. So, some albums published before launched of this awards in a country haven't got certifications.
The US Certifications are linked to the RIAA database,[1] the UK Certifications are linked to the BPI database,[2] the Canadian Certifications are linked to the CRIA database,[3][4] the French Certifications are linked to the Charts In France database by SNEP, an article of Tele Satellite & Numerique and to the Michael Jackson Official French Site database,[5][6][7] the Mexican Certifications are linked to the Eil database (a famous collectionist shop site),[8] AMPROFON database[9] and Julien's Auctions Catalogue,[10] the German Certifications are linked to the IFPI Germany database,[11] the Australian Certifications are linked to the ARIA database[12][13][14][15] and Julien's Auctions Catalogue,[16][17] the Netherlands Certifications are linked to the NVPI database,[18] the Swedish Certifications are linked to the IFPI Sweden database,[19][20][21][22] the Swiss Certifications are linked to the IFPI Switzerland database[23] and Julien's Auctions Catalogue,[24] the Poland Certifications are linked to the ZPAV database,[25][26] the Hong Kong Certifications are linked to the IFPI Hong Kong database,[27][28][29][30] the Austrian Certifications are linked to the IFPI Austria database,[31] the Finlandian Certifications are linked to the IFPI Finland database[32] and the New Zealand Certifications are linked to the RIANZ official book.[33]
There are also IFPI Europe Platinum Awards Certifications. Only albums that were published from 1 January 1994 are elegible. This award includes: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom.[34]
