Current requests

word "Indwar" was added to explain the totem of Oraon, Kharia, Munda and Mahali totem or gotra used by the communities on the basis of totem tradition. The tribal tradition and totems have not been explained widely in literature or history books. The writer of this page belong to tribal community and working for recording various aspects of tribal communities of India.

The article was deleted following a discussion at AfD and DelRev. Although I had previously stated within those discussions that I did not want the article userfied (I was in passionate defense mode), I have changed my mind. I would like to keep working on the article and to try and obtain more sources if possible. Thus, my kind request is to please userfy this article to my page. Thank you Turqoise127 (talk) 20:03, 30 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

How do you propose to overcome the reasons for deletion? Regards,  Skomorokh, barbarian  04:20, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I hope to work on the article more, shorten it, play around with current sources and improve the citing of them, as well as in time attempt to find and add new sources.Turqoise127 (talk) 15:17, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Done Userfied to User:Turqoise127/Kresimir Chris Kunej (I deleted the version you blanked in order to do that. If that's an issue, let me know and I'll straighten it out.) Probably a very good idea to get a final check at WP:FEED after you make your improvements.--Fabrictramp | talk to me 16:02, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Many thanks. No issue, I started doing a version myself but realized it was a whole lot of work. Thanks for deleting the version I blanked. Turqoise127 (talk) 17:24, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

User:PatPeter's Subpages

I really don't want to have to individually link every single article, but I was blocked about a year ago and have been unblocked for 6+ months. I was wondering if someone could restore all the red links on my userpage. I believe I removed all controversial subpages I might have had. The only non-userspace pages are Template:Babel2 and Template:AFK, Babel2 was priceless to me, and I do not remember the extent of AFK.

Babel2 was used by several users other than myself, I assume they have since removed the template, but it was a nice idea for Babel.

Is it a procedural deletion to delete the subpages of a blocked user? If not, then reasons would be that they are my subpages for those, and for Babel2 and AFK, that they were good ideas for templates, moreso Babel2, and restoring them to Template: namespace shouldn't do any harm.

-Pat Peter 04:53, 16 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

FWIW, it would be a lot easier on us if you listed the pages here instead of making us hunt them down. I don't see a problem with restoring the few I looked at, and will get to them bit by bit.--Fabrictramp | talk to me 21:50, 16 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I think I've got them all. If I missed any, please list them here.--Fabrictramp | talk to me 22:14, 16 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

FWIW? And I thought it would be just as easy to just go to my page to restore the red links as if I listed them here, if not easier, most of my red links were in sections of their own anyway.

One that was deleted and changed in the past year was Template:Sleep, I don't know how it works but if you just restore the first versions of it I could probably nip the code and move it to Template:Sleeping.

You have my thanks Fabric, I am very glad to finally have a userpage not filled with red. I'll reply to your message on my talk page, then send you a {{talkback}}. -Pat Peter 00:23, 17 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

FWIW==For what its worth. Protonk (talk) 00:42, 17 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, not in my internet dialect of high usage. -Pat Peter 03:47, 17 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

So any work on Template:Sleep and restoring edits? -Pat Peter 04:08, 20 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I found that a number of my pages had talk pages deleted from them, combined with sleep:
Restoration appreciated, thanks again for all your hard work guys (or just Fabric). -Pat Peter 22:27, 20 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Everything except the bits in {{Sleep}} restored. I'm not sure what to do w/ those. Can I copy/paste the last good revision of it and leave it in a post on your talk page? Protonk (talk) 04:45, 22 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Can't you restore all previous deletions of a page by going in the same interface you would to delete the page? If you just restored the edits on the page I can flip back through it and find the best edit, the most recent might not be the best because of all that has been done with it. -Pat Peter 04:07, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Problem is it is transcluded to a bunch of pages and when I restore the old revision it becomes the current revision until I change back to the now-current revision. I don't want like a hundred article pages w/ "this editor is sleeping" on them getting cached and what-not. Protonk (talk) 04:11, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
What if you deleted the template and then fully restore it? Since the red link would just negate all transclusions, when you restore it it should be exactly the same. -Pat Peter 04:21, 25 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Can't that be done? -Pat Peter 06:34, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It will seriously just take me a minute to copy/paste an old revision to your talk page. I'd much rather do that. Protonk (talk) 06:36, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Protonk, are you quite sure that restoring old deleted revisions of a page will affect the current version? I just tested it out in userspace and it didn't.  Skomorokh, barbarian  06:47, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Er. I'm not sure, but when I have done history merges in the past, the latest deleted revision became the current revision until I rolled the page back to the last undeleted revision. I don't know if that was because the timestamp on the merged edits were later than the current edits, but it happened on a fair number of them. If you think I'm wimping out you can undelete it :) I would be happy to know that I'm wrong. Protonk (talk) 06:51, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, yeah, that's the case for history merges because you're dealing with two separate pages. If I'm reading this right there's only one title – {{sleep}} – with nine deleted revisions in the history. I'll give it a shot and take the blame if I kill some server kittens or paste editor statuses at the foot of all those articles...  Skomorokh, barbarian  06:55, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

template:Sleep has been restored in all its former glory; feel free to dig in the history for the revision you want, PatPeter. I hope I didn't break anything...  Skomorokh, barbarian  06:57, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Could you please send me the original copy for this page so that I can amend the copy and get something posted back on Wikipedia asap that fits within the guidelines.

Cheers — Preceding unsigned comment added by Georgechilcott (talkcontribs) 08:39, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello George. The article was deleted as blatantly promotional. What's your relation to Frogtrade?  Skomorokh, barbarian  08:51, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am the digital executive here and we wanted to place some copy up regarding the company. We've asked our customers to change the copy as they see fit (they are predominatly schools and the majority already have a wiki page so have requested to link to us), however that request went out in a newsletter yesterday, and it got deleted yesterday so that didn't look too good! I've replaced the page with some copy that I feel is more fitting with the Wiki guidelines, but would like to see the original one again please so we can reference all sections. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Georgechilcott (talkcontribs) 13:52, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The situation is that it is not appropriate for encyclopaedia articles to be written primarily by those who may have a conflict of interest in doing so. Under these circumstances I am unwilling to provide the promotional text. Sincerely,  Skomorokh, barbarian  04:05, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This article was deleted just as we were editing it to improve it. Not only was it done MID-EDIT (very frustrating). How are we to dispute the "notability"? The admin who deleted the article has created articles on numerous subject, from actors to baseball players- how is a non-profit that's been around for 15 years and run an annual conference less notable?

I just read the information about speedy deletion and it says "Administrators should take care not to speedy delete articles except in the most obvious cases. If a page has survived a prior deletion discussion, it should not be speedy deleted except for newly discovered copyright violations. Contributors sometimes create articles over several edits, so administrators should avoid deleting a page that appears incomplete too soon after its creation. "

In this case we had JUST (10 minutes prior?) put in the article. It was not obvious that this article was relevant as i listed our last 15 years' conference locations and presidents, as well as linked to several website documents (most in our industry work electronically, not on paper). So also the admin seems to have disregarded the point to "avoid deleting a page that appears incomplete too soon after its creation."

Please advise,

Divonbriesen (talk) 17:07, 2 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings, Divon, and sorry your early interactions with Wikipedia have been negative ones. The article was deleted because it failed to credibly show why the topic was important or significant. This was not an error – I would have deleted it on the same grounds (though I sympathise with you on the point of it being deleted so soon after creation). In order to understand what needs to be done to create an acceptable article, please take a look at our notability guidelines for organisations. The basic point is to find significant coverage of the NCCIA in reliable sources such as mainstream newspapers, reputable industry or academic journals, and scholarly books. I have restored the deleted article to UserDivonbriesen/NCCIA so that you can work on it. Regards,  Skomorokh, barbarian  04:12, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

My article about the site www.therapy247.com was deleted and the reason given was that I did not prove the subject's notability. I think this was done in error. At the very least the page could have been edited to add notability. The site is an innovation novel good co-counseling services online and has been refered to by other wikipedia articles. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ugproject (talkcontribs) 19:02, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like you already have a version at User:Ugproject/Therapy247, but I have userfied the deleted version to User:Ugproject/Therapy247/Old. Please read WP:WEB and WP:YFA to get an idea of what's required of an article about a website. Regards,  Skomorokh, barbarian

Horton Foote: Notes and References section.

After trying to delete my own addition to the Notes and References section, due to a formatting error, it appears that I may have inadvertently deleted the other entries in the Notes and References section as well. (They inexplicably disappeared along with mine.) It had four references prior to my addition that need to be restored. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wolfdance (talkcontribs) 04:58, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ciao, Wolfdance. Don't worry, none of the edits to Horton Foote have been deleted; all previous versions of the article are present in the history. You removed the references in this edit. I have restored them. To learn more about adding references, check out WP:CITE. Regards,  Skomorokh, barbarian  05:08, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I recently created the article MaintiMizer, which was speedily deleted as advertising. Please let me know where I went wrong with this. I used the Avantis article as an example.

In a related note, the Ashcom Technologies article I submitted at the same time is also proposed for deletion for being about a non-notable company. I submitted references from where Ashcom (and MaintiMizer) are mentioned in the press. How else can I prove notability?

Thanks for your help and for the work you do on Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Selectivity (talkcontribs) 15:58, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have restored the article to User:Selectivity/MaintiMizer. Note that Wikipedia is very tough on new business articles, because so many of them are written by an editor with a conflict of interest. To get an idea of what needs to be done, please read the notability guidelines for companies and the business FAQ. Regards,  Skomorokh, barbarian  20:51, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

05:42, 21 December 2006 Sandstein (talk | contribs) deleted "Farside (band)" ‎ (expired WP:PROD, rationale was: Fails WP:MUSIC. There are claims of notability but no sources cited for the claims)

I don't know what was on the page before it was deleted, but Farside shouldn't fail WP:MUSIC -- specifically, the fifth criteria under musicians and ensembles. Farside has three releases on Revelation Records, which is a notable indie label. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Peachlette (talkcontribs) 05:50, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Restored to User:Peachlette/Farside (band). Please ensure the content is verified to reliable sources before re-introducing the article into the encyclopaedia. Regards,  Skomorokh, barbarian  05:53, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I've edited the entry, but wanted to check if it now met notability requirements before reintroducing it. peachlette (talk) 19:43, 10 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
A good way to get feedback on things like that is to post at WP:FEED. HTH!--Fabrictramp | talk to me 21:21, 10 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Done It would be a good idea to deal with the prod issue (notability, sources), or the article could easily wind up at articles for deletion. Cheers!--Fabrictramp | talk to me 18:08, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please forward the contents of this deleted page to my email dorothymilfort@gmail.com so that i may edits in a user page. My page was deleted just 4 hours after i'd posted it even though I noted that it would be shortly modified.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Dorothymilfort (talkcontribs)

I've restored the article. After reviewing it, I can't see that it met either of the deletion requests listed. However, I'd suggest reading WP:Notability and adding some sources that show how this company is notable. Also, I'd recommend removing the client list section, which really isn't appropriate for an encyclopedia article. WP:BETTER would be good to read after you do those two things. HTH! --Fabrictramp | talk to me 20:46, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

As the author of the page, I kept the information as neutral as possible, without using any promotional language. I also explicitly mentioned in my talk page and elsewhere that I am editor and publisher of Complete Wellbeing, and would be subject to a possible "conflict of interest", and therefore requested the community and others to spot and change any promotion-sounding content. Prima facie, the page was intended purely for informational purposes only. --Manoj Khatri 14:37, 8 October 2009 (UTC) One more thing: Complete Wellbeing is a magazine with a mission to educate people about the interdependence of mental and physical health. It's strong on notability also. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Smartlion (talkcontribs)

Restored to User:Smartlion/Complete Wellbeing. For the record, I would have deleted it as spam also. Feel free to work on it to get it up to standards, but do not move it to the mainspace without the consent of the deleting administrator or community consensus.  Skomorokh, barbarian  11:57, 9 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I would like the article userfied, if possible. I think I can improve it enough for re-entry into Wikipedia. It was deleted for original research and lack of secondary sources. The original deletion discussion ended with the comment "[I] will be willing to undelete instantly if [multiple] proper secondary sources can be found" - AdamBMorgan (talk) 11:35, 9 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No problem: User:AdamBMorgan/Fictional history of the DC Universe. Check with the deleting admin once you're done. Thanks for volunteering! Cheers,  Skomorokh, barbarian  11:52, 9 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

These pages were deleted per my request under CSD U1 in the past. I have lost the password for this account, so have had to start a new account. I would like to have this main user page and user talk page moved to a subpage of my new user space for me to use in creating my new user space. I thank the administrator who responds to this message for their time. Finn Casey (talk) 03:26, 12 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps another admin with more experience with this will weigh in. I'm uncomfortable fulfilling the request, because I don't see any real way you can prove you are the same user as Matheuler. Since there was no confirmed identity on the page, that method is out; email wasn't enabled, so that is out, you've lost the password, so you can't log in as Matheuler. Unfortunately, I don't have a good next step for you, either. :( --Fabrictramp | talk to me 19:45, 12 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your kind reply. I can definitely understand your concerns, and I anticipated that this might be the case. This is not an important enough matter to consume much of your time. I can reproduce much of the old user page contents from memory. It was more the user talk messages that I wished to have an archive of. However, as I said, it is not of any great significance. Thank you for your time, and best wishes on your future contributions to the project. —Finn Casey 00:08, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The page I created describing FlowJo software for cytometry data analysis was deleted.

"14 August 2009 Donald Albury deleted "FlowJo" ‎ (Expired PROD, concern was: No assertion that this program is notable and that this article isn't just an advert)"

I'd like to request that it be reinstated. Though I work for the company that produces the software, I was careful to avoid any advertising when composing it. The general page on the topic Flow Cytometry cites our software as we are uniquely important to the conduct of various kinds of scientific work.

I'm not sure this is the forum for a defense for the reinstatement... I would be happy to make the case in the appropriate forum. - Tom Franks tomfranks <at> treestar.com — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.241.70.231 (talk) 19:07, 12 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

excuse me, you deleted my post which was a work in progress. Yes it does point to an online game but I would suggest you look at the travian pages here before excluding one over the other. There are a number of other online games already in wikipedia

i had not made it to the point of making a very interesting entry and was hoping that i could continue tonight however now i have to wait— Preceding unsigned comment added by C M Murray (talkcontribs)

Not done Unfortunately, although the article was deleted as "No indication that the article may meet guidelines for inclusion", in reviewing it I see that it is a copyright violation of http://www.therealmob.com/, so for legal reasons we cannot restore the content for you.
If you'd like to take another stab at the article, start it as a subpage of your userpage, such as at User:C M Murray/The Real Mob. Use the game's website as a source, but write the information in your own words. Also be sure to include other sources that show how the game is notable. Before moving it to main space, post a request at WP:FEED to have an experienced editor look it over. Hope that helps.--Fabrictramp | talk to me 23:44, 12 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Flying Saucer Films

The content does not violate any copyrights, is encyclopedic content, and was deleted. There are many other production companies that have used wikipedia. Flying Saucer Films is just another production company looking to highlight it's place in making people famous. Please undelete this article so I can finish adding links.

Thanks for your help.

‎The article was deleted with the comment: (A7: Article about a group or club, which does not indicate the importance or significance of the subject).

The article is placed as a disambiguation measure due to popular demand to demonstrate connection between the name and the field of operation of the aforementioned company.

  •  Not done I'm not too clear on your request here. We can't restore speedy deletions here. I don't to send you through a maze of processes and what-not, but if you would like to argue that the article be restored you may ask the deleting admin on his talk page or failing that, you may seek to have it restored at deletion review. The last process is only an option if you feel there is something materially wrong with the deletion itself, not that you disagree with the result. I can copy that to your userspace so you can improve it and return it to articlespace when you have references or some indication of significance of the subject. Or I can email you a copy of the material. Protonk (talk) 21:46, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, Protonk, for the response. I'll try to settle the matter with NawlinWiki.

i have only been workin on the initial framework of the article. given a little more time for me to add pertinent information, i see no reason why i cant prove the article has merit and is notable. plus you have delated all my code, so its going to take that much more time to write in the way it was again. i have already contact user talk from the deletion log, and hes said he'd take care of the problem. i see no reason the page should not be reinstated so that i can add more content. thank you for your time joshuafitzgerald —Preceding unsigned comment added by Joshfitzgerald (talkcontribs) 11:31, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like you've already recreated it at User:Joshfitzgerald/The Andreas Kapsalis Trio. Did you need the original article also userfied (moved to a subpage of your userpage)? I haven't gone through word by word, but I don't see a lot of difference between the two.--Fabrictramp | talk to me 14:28, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

yeah luckily i remembered most of it, so i just put it back together as best i could. im just going to have to transfer this to the article page. what do you think of the changes i made. exactly what would be need to qualify as "notable"? ive used very little info devoid of reference, plus i even have a personal letter of comendation from dave brubeck, who is a jazz legend. what more do i need? btw, thanks for all the help. it is very appreciated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Joshfitzgerald (talkcontribs) 15:04, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WP:FEED is a good place to get feedback on what an article needs before moving it to mainspace. (Also, remember to sign your talk page comments, but not articles, by typing --~~~~ at the end.)--Fabrictramp | talk to me 22:01, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I created this article several months ago and it was deleted/protected/moved because of excessive copyright infringement (G12.) I created the article for my boss at her request. She is a celebrated peace activist, worked in Jerry Brown's cabinet and ran his campaign for president, has published two books, etc etc etc. The reason we need to have a Wikipedia page up is that people and press routinely contact us for information that would be so much more convenient to access at some central source. I created the article from several different biographies I have for her--which were written for various "board member biographies." Some of those bios are on the nonprofit websites which I believe is why I was cited for copyright infringement. I've now written a completely new (and vastly shorter) article with basic information that I would love to get up, but find that the article has been protected and moved. I am not the most savvy Wikipedia user, which is why I'm here in the first place obviously, and can barely follow the jargon on the help pages, but any help in getting this resolved would be helpful. I'm not sure what you'd like us to do here. I just checked Jodie Evans, and that page is not protected from re-creation (in fact, I don't see that it's ever been created, nor do I see any deleted edits for you.) You should be able to create an article at Jodie Evans without any problems.
However, before you do take a few minutes to read WP:COI. Writing about subjects where you have a conflict of interest is strongly discouraged. This is because most people have a very hard time writing about those subjects in an unbiased, non-promotional manner. (Everyone thinks they are the exception, but almost no one achieves this.) --Fabrictramp | talk to me 21:59, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I Request for the restoration of this article as it describes about a young economist from India.

I have made my protest known in the talk page, please consider restoration of the page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lakshmisiddhi (talkcontribs) 15:54, 18 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

18 October 2009 (UTC)I strongly protest the deletion of the page titled V.V.L.N.Sastry. I have found more than 3500 search results availalbe in his name from secondary sources, majority of the messages confirming to the wikipedia's reliable source standards for an article.

Why an young economist like Dr.V.V.L.N.Sastry should not be profiled? given the stature that he enjoys in the financial and economic segments of India.

There are leading Indian Financial Press coverages on him confirming his stature like Economtic Times, Financial Express, Business Standard, Business India, Corporate India and Outlook Profit.

Further the electonic media coverages emanating from CNBC, Bloomberg UTV, NDTV are quite evident.

He is covered in Forbes and Wall Street Journals.

What more credentials one is required to have to get profiled in Wikipedia.

As a third person, I am interested in profiling this person on Wikipedia as it may give inspiration to lot of youngsters in India.

Request the administrator to consider this article.Lakshmisiddhi (talk) 14:50, 18 October 2009 (UTC)

First of all, as I type this, Dr.V.V.L.N.Sastry is not deleted. A speedy deletion was requested by an editor, but instead of following the instructions and adding a {{hangon}} tag on the article, you removed the deletion request. However, I am not going to replace the speedy tag because as the article stands right now, there are claims of importance.
However, the article does not yet show why this person is notable, which has a specific definition on Wikipedia and is a higher standard than importance. Take a few minutes to read through the link in the previous sentence, and make a concerted effort to find sources that show he's notable, then add them to the article. (WP:REF has some good information on how to do this.) Without these sources, the article can easily end up as a proposed deletion or at AfD.
Hope that helps.--Fabrictramp | talk to me 16:23, 18 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
As I was typing the above, another admin restored the V.V.L.N.Sastry article which had sources, and changed Dr.V.V.L.N.Sastry to a redirect.--Fabrictramp | talk to me 16:24, 18 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Are you refering to Hemkund#Etymology? This would be an editing issue, not a deletion issue. If other editors are removing the content you've added, you'll need to discuss with them why you think your additions should stay, either on their talk pages or on the article's talk page. This article had originally been deleted because it was "salesy" and lacked resource footnotes. Now that I have added these, I'm requesting to have the page undeleted and made live. Is the new page with the list of resources acceptable? Let me know what else I can do to improve the page as it is my first one. Thanks!— Preceding unsigned comment added by Kathleensullivan (talkcontribs)

So, if I understand the situation correctly, you've rewritten Costa Rica Rainforest Outward Bound School at User:Kathleensullivan/sandbox. There really isn't anything for us to undelete at this spot; instead, you simply need to go to the User:Kathleensullivan/sandbox page, click the "move" tab at the top, and move it to Costa Rica Rainforest Outward Bound School.
Before moving the article, if you'd like feedback on whether you've countered the objections to the first version, you can try asking the deleting admin, Jimfbleak (talk · contribs), or post a request for feedback at WP:FEED. (I can't really give you good feedback on this, because I wouldn't have deleted the first version as blatant advertising.)
Hope that helps.--Fabrictramp | talk to me 20:22, 21 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please undelete this page. It is a very useful product reference for many government and private organizations that utilize this management tool. •  Done The page was not deleted, merely proposed for deletion. The tag, called a "PROD" is something that any editor (including yourself may remove. If other editors feel that the material is still not fit for inclusion in an encyclopedia, they may nominate it for deletion, which begins a discussion about the article. That tag may only be removed by administrators or editors closing the discussion. Please Be aware that if there are no independent, reliable sources covering the subject, it may be deleted. However if there are, then the article is safe, even if those sources are not in english. Protonk (talk) 18:03, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Need an admin to outwiki deleted pages

(Previously requested @ Wikipedia:Deletion_review/Log/2009_October_23.)

I would like to move the deleted pages listed in Wikipedia:WikiProject Constructed languages/Edit wars and deletions#Old AfDs, DRVs, etc to FrathWiki. Ops on the destination machine can be had.

But as a lowly user on WP, I don't have access to the pages in order to move them over.

Could I get some help?

Yes, I will help you. How to do want to do this? --ThaddeusB (talk) 20:34, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks to Thaddeus for offering to help. It seems to me that the tidiest way of doing the transfer would be:
1. Somebody (Sai Emrys?) gives the Frath admin bit to ThaddeusB.
2. The Enwiki admin restores the deleted file
3. Admin uses Special:Export to create an XML file (might need to play around with some parameters)
4. Over at FrathWiki, he invokes Special:Import to create the article using the XML file created in step 3. This restores the edit history and makes attribution clear for any copyright questions.
5. Enwiki admin re-deletes the original file.
I haven't done this myself but I'm guessing based on the specs. For best results, ask for assistance at WP:VPT. EdJohnston (talk) 23:14, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The term mikegasm is a well used term in Michael Jackson fan circles. It is prevalent on many boards, including several on yuku.com and Michael Jackson Fan Club. I am unaware of the reason for deletion. I ask you on behalf of the ever growing MJ fan community to restore this page. Michael Jackson fan jargon can be confusing to new users of the boards, having references they can look up such as this helps bring new members up to date.

Thank you for your time.

AIPA - Australian Institute of Polish Affairs

This article was deleted by Malcolm15 on 6 July 2009. I would like it restored asap. There is no reason why it should be deleted. It is an original source article informing about our Institute that performs important cultural role in the Australian - Polish relations. Below is a copy of an article for your convenience. Thanks, Alex

The Australian Institute of Polish Affairs, also known as AIPA, is an independent, voluntary organisation, established in 1991 in Australia to inform the Australian public about issues related to Polish history, politics, society and culture. The immediate trigger for establishing the Institute was strong public interest in the historic changes that swept Central Europe in 1989 and led to the collapse of communism. Due to the leading role Poland played in these events, there was a considerable demand for authoritative information on Poland which the establishment of AIPA has met. Liaising regularly with leading Australian universities AIPA has sponsored numerous lecture tours around Australia of important public figures who have made a significant contribution to the transition of Poland from communism to democracy. The list of AIPA guests includes, among others, former Prime Ministers Hanna Suchocka, Jan Krzysztof Bielecki and Marek Belka, principal architect of Poland’s economic reforms Leszek Balcerowicz, former director of Radio Free Europe Jan Nowak Jezioranski and Archbishop of Lublin Jozef Zycinski.

Another stream of AIPA’s activities focuses on fostering Polish-Jewish dialogue. Australia is home to a substantial number of Holocaust survivors, including a large number from Poland. The purpose of the dialogue is to build and maintain harmonious relations between the communities that have had historical ties with Poland and to dispel myths and mutual stereotypes that have arisen particularly with regard to the Second World War experiences. This objective has been served by the visits of, among others, the distinguished human rights activist and journalist Adam Michnik, former Foreign Affairs Minister Wladyslaw Bartoszewski, the historian of the Holocaust, Gunnar Paulsson as well as Jan Karski, who as a clandestine courier of the Polish Government in exile, disclosed to the world the truth about the Shoah.

The current and past presidents of AIPA: Prof. Jerzy Zubrzycki (1991-95) Prof. Andrzej Ehrenkreutz (1995-97), Prof. Martin Krygier (1997-2001), Prof. Jan Pakulski (2001-2005), Adam Warzel (2005-2009), Prof. Jan Pakulski (2009 – present) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alex Dee (talkcontribs) 07:43, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Reason being I'd like to repopulate it but using the wikipedia guidelines, it was deleted due to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Thomas_Zeumer

Hi,

As the page, Smitha Rajan, was deleted once, I have edited the page and have tried to upload it more time. I hope this will solve the problem. I want to state here that Smitha Rajan is a well known person in the field of Indian Classical Dances from India. To create her page I took the help from her official website (http://smitharajan.tripod.com/) for accuracy. Hope now this page is ok to be published on the site.

Thank you

The Pan Am Flight 6 article used to be titled Pan Am Flight 943 (which was incorrect). I urged, on the talk page, to have someone changed it over to "Flight 6," to correct that error. That was finally done. However, when it was, part of the revision history of that article was lost. Here is what I have written on the talk page, of Pan Am Flight 6:

I am glad to see that the title was finally changed to the correct flight number of "6." However, it seems that a good deal of the history of the revisions to this article, have been lost, possibly as a result of making that change. The current revision history shows no edits at all, from May, 2008, until July, 2009. That is far from accurate, as comparison of these two different revision histories reveals:
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pan_Am_Flight_943&action=history
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pan_Am_Flight_6&action=history
I am sure there is some way to fix that error, and restore the complete revision history record, but I don't know how. So, anyone know who we should notify in the upper echelons of Wikipedia, so that some expert can repair the revision history record? EditorASC (talk) 11:35, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
