Biography

Born Anne Ojales Curtis-Smith is the eldest daughter of Carmen Ojales, a Filipina and James Curtis-Smith, an Australian lawyer. She has 2 siblings, a sister (Jasmine) and a brother (Thomas), who are currently living in Australia with her mother. At age 13, they had their vacation in the Philippines but it later became permanent through Anne's discovery by a talent manager while eating at a fast food chain Jollibee with her dad and her mom in 1997.[citation needed]

Interest

In 2005, Curtis participated in a hands-on outreach program to visit children in Pampanga who underwent cleft-palate operations. The experience moved her and Curtis is later quoted as saying "now I just want to help more". In 2009, typhoon Ondoy destroyed many of the Filipinos' properties. She was one of the Kapamilya stars who helped and gave donations. She said in an interview,"Talagang nakakataba ng puso because kahit may mga problema sila, they still have smiles on their faces." Together with actress Angel Locsin and Dimples Romana, Curtis founded a donation organization asking celebrities to donate their stuffs to the "Shop and Share" (the name) and sell it.This is for the people who were victims of typhoon Ondoy and Pepeng.
