Your submission at Articles for creation

I noticed your submission in Articles for creation, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Rainbow Live in Munich. Thanks! It will be reviewed by a volunteer soon.

Before it can be added to Wikipedia, your submission should have references. All articles on Wikipedia should have inline, numbered references after facts, showing the 'reliable source' (a newspaper, book, etc.) where the information can be checked, so that all information is verifiable.

Here's a video tutorial - hit play, then right-click for "full screen".

Here's an example of how to add references:

Chzz is 98 years old.<ref> "The book of Chzz", Aardvark Books, 2009. </ref>

He likes tea.<ref> Smith, John. "[http://foonews.com/Article42 Interview with Chzz]", Foo News, 1 April 2010. Retrieved 2011-05-22. </ref>

== References ==

{{reflist}}

That makes the references automatically display as small numbers[1] which will link to the details in the section titled == References == at the end. You can see that example in action here.

Please add references to your submission, which will be reviewed as soon as possible. See also, Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners. If you need any help, just put {{helpme}} at the end of this page, followed by a question.

I accepted your redirect request as well as the article you worked on. If you need any more redirects to be created, you might be interested in Articles for Creation/Redirects. Alternatively, you can drop me a message on my talk page, and I'll get it done. It might be faster with the current backlog. Best, Alpha_Quadrant (talk) 18:37, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thank you much. Good luck at DYK, and you are welcome to take the credit. Did you know that Dutch singer Henk Pleket sang for over thirty years in the Dutch language group De Havenzangers, singing of sailors, soccer, and sex? 66.168.247.159 (talk) 19:25, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I couldn't possibly take credit. You did all the work. If you would like, I'll submit it on your behalf. Best wishes, Alpha_Quadrant (talk) 19:42, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, you can. Go for it. Donate a dollar or more to your favorite charity, that's good enough. BTW, I couldn't verify the "sex" part, though it's clear (translations of song titles: Don't get married until you're forty, At night after two o'clock, etc.), but the soccer (Rome, we komen) and sailors (De klok van Arnemuiden) are self-evident. Good luck, 66.168.247.159 (talk) 19:47, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Nominated at Template:Did you know nominations/De Havenzangers if you are interested. You can edit the hook if you want. I wasn't sure if you and 207.157.121.92 were the same person, so I listed both of you. Alpha_Quadrant (talk) 20:14, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, thank you. Yes, we're both the same human being, on the run from the law. AQ, WP needs more of you. I'd give you a barnstar if I could twinkle. 66.168.247.159 (talk) 20:20, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Glad to be of help. You do good work here, and it looks like our paths have crossed before. If you ever need anything done that you can't do without an account, I'd be more than happy to help. Best wishes, Alpha_Quadrant (talk) 20:32, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the removal of the travel-related content from this article: I'm not looking for an edit war, but I would appreciate your input at the article's talk page. Thanks. --Kinu t/c 21:00, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Soccer was dropped because it was not clearly stated as being about that in the body of the article. If it isn't in the article, it shouldn't and can't really be in the DYK. Hope that answers your question. :) --LauraHale (talk) 06:34, 15 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • 1990 FIFA World Cup was a soccer tournament. "Rome we komen" means "Rome we're coming". The lyrics say things like "we'll be world champion" and "we come for the cup of our dreams", and this reference, cited in the article, calls it a "voetballied", "a soccer song". I've tweaked the article to include that. Does that help? 66.168.247.159 (talk) 19:52, 15 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not attack other editors. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. NTox · talk 02:24, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Did you read what was there? Please do, and then I'll accept your apology. 66.168.247.159 (talk) 02:26, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Even when an editor creates something as disruptive as an attack page, insulting him or her with obscenities is not the best response. We must dismiss our natural reactions in favor of civility. This is a matter of basic respect and is in part the foundation of this encyclopedia. NTox · talk 02:39, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
"Asshole" isn't as bad as what I was thinking of calling him. But look below to see what your automated template goaded another automated templater into. 66.168.247.159 (talk) 02:43, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, another part of WP:DTTR is that you should still assume good faith when getting these. You're far less likely to get them if you make an account.--Jasper Deng (talk) 02:45, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
If I were logged in someone would have congratulated me for that edit summary. 66.168.247.159 (talk) 02:47, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
...proving my point.--Jasper Deng (talk) 02:48, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, yes. But I'm not going to wish for my child not to be gay to prevent them from getting pestered. I'd rather change the world. When you become an admin, you can speak up for IP editors. They're not all assholes/vandals! (OK, at least I'm not a vandal.) 66.168.247.159 (talk) 02:54, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
...but get the stereotype of that because 80%ish of vandalism is from IP editors. Yes, unfortunately, anonymous editors are regarded, even though they shouldn't be, as second-class editors.--Jasper Deng (talk) 02:56, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to Black hair with this edit, you may be blocked from editing. Ducknish (talk) 02:37, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Don't be silly. I get a level 2 for calling an asshole an asshole, and you give me a level 3 warning for improving an article? Let me find the appropriate template for you. 66.168.247.159 (talk) 02:38, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • There's no need to be hostile. You removed an entire section of the an article for no reason provided besides "Let's not do that" in the edit summary, which doesn't really explain to others what exactly the reasoning is behind taking away the list. If you consider it an improvement, then you ought to have described why it was an improvement. Ducknish (talk) 02:49, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • Ahem. I hate to break it to you, but "hostile" is getting a level-3 warning. Dude. Someone gave you rollback and you have 200 edits? I hope that admin had a good look at all your edits, and that this was an exception. Part of editing Wikipedia is knowing what is and what isn't OK. A list of people who have brown hair is not OK. It's stupid. 66.168.247.159 (talk) 02:58, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
      • It's fine if you think it's stupid, but you should have provided a reason for removing it. I'm sorry, but when you see an IP user taking away a section of an article with a rather non-descriptive edit summary it just looks somewhat odd. Ducknish (talk) 03:05, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
        • Coming back to my own point. Creating and using an account would avoid such a mess.--Jasper Deng (talk) 03:08, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
          • And I'm sticking with mine: IP editors never get AGF'ed, as was just proven by Ducknish. BTW, it's not a mess for me: I will not get blocked for these edits. Maybe, Ducknish, you should have a look at my contributions, and the DYK, and the articles I created. I got more useful edits under this IP than you have as a registered user. Anyway, I have no use for you. Jasper, perhaps you will do me a favor: you know I can't create articles, and Ducknish doesn't want to. Can you perhaps move Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Frida Vogels to mainspace? Thank you so much. 66.168.247.159 (talk) 03:44, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
            • I'm not an expert on this subject; you may wish to cite more sources to ensure notability; your statement about edit counts is patently false, you have less than 500 on this IP. We're not changing to suite your needs.--Jasper Deng (talk) 03:50, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
            • Pff. You're right: you're not an expert. I was wrong: you're not as nice as I thought. 66.168.247.159 (talk) 03:54, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Create an account

It sounds like you'd benefit greatly from getting an account.--Jasper Deng (talk) 02:39, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thank you Jasper. You're very helpful--much more so than the over-eager Recent Change Patrollers. Did Toad95 get blocked already? ;) 66.168.247.159 (talk) 02:41, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • Yes. If you had an account and put him on your watchlist, you would've seen the admin nuke that person's attack pages and blocking him indefinitely.--Jasper Deng (talk) 02:42, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
      • Floquenbeam doesn't fuck around, it seems. Deng, you should consider running for office. 66.168.247.159 (talk) 02:46, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome, and thank you for your attempt to lighten up Wikipedia. However, this is an encyclopedia and the articles are intended to be serious, so please don't make joke edits, as you did to User talk:66.168.247.159. Readers looking for accurate information will not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, try the sandbox, where you can write practically anything you want. Wikipedia is not welcome to crude language and humor; it seeks to be a purely intellectual volume.Rsteilberg talk 00:51, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to Welsh Valley Middle School with this edit, you may be blocked from editing. Ducknish (talk) 03:22, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Ducknish, please don't be a moron again. I'll let you remove that trivia yourself. Now take your vandalism warning and stick it where the sun don't shine. 66.168.247.159 (talk) 03:24, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • There are better ways to deal with content you disagree with than deleting it all. Ducknish (talk) 03:36, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • You're not apologizing. And in this case: no. (Nice try on the jazz band, but it's still not encyclopedic. Also, "Longtime Welsh Valley choral director Mr. Ewing resembled film actor Peter Sellers"? For real?) Take back your vandalism warning or I'm going to ask for your rollback to be pulled. 66.168.247.159 (talk) 03:40, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
      • No. Instead of deleting everything, there are ways to work at least some of it in there. Ducknish (talk) 03:42, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
        • You're not apologizing. Peter Sellers? You know, my ass kind of looks like a couple of whole wheat buns... 66.168.247.159 (talk) 03:46, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
          • No, I'm not apologizing. The trivia section is gone. Ducknish (talk) 03:50, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You clearly don't know what vandalism is. See WP:VANDAL. You don't deserve rollback, and you should start writing your own shit instead of reverting what others do. We got a link for that too: WP:BITE. You're not going to drive me away, but you might do that to other, newer editors. Stay off my talk page unless you have an apology to offer; your attempts to justify your edits are a bit pathetic. 66.168.247.159 (talk) 03:56, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"I don't know what I'm doing"

I didn't particularly appreciate your comments.

And look at this talk page, you have so many goddamn warnings. Someone needs to play nicely. :) Sonikugunbattel (talk) 09:07, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Yep, you're not the only idiot. ;) 66.168.247.159 (talk) 14:10, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • So, the tag was wrong (you put a speedy tag on a just-signed piece of legislation), and then you replaced it (which you can't do when a speedy tag is removed). You get an A for perseverance--but did you see this comment? RHaworth is an administrator. Try yelling at him. 66.168.247.159 (talk) 14:13, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed the message you recently left to Sonikugunbattel. Please remember not to bite the newcomers. If you see someone make a common mistake, try to politely point out what they did wrong and how to correct it. Thank you. Ducknish (talk) 14:57, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
  • Fuck off with your warnings, dude: check out WP:DTTR. That editor's very first edit was to nominate for speedy deletion an article written by a new editor. Now who's biting? You've created a few articles. What if those had been slapped with A7 right off the bat?

And you still haven't apologized for your incorrect reverts and your unwarranted warnings for vandalism. Your stock is going down, pal, if it had any value to begin with. Vandal fighter my ass: kids like you are a problem, not a solution. 66.168.247.159 (talk) 19:22, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

    • There are ways to tell someone they've done the wrong thing besides attacking them right off the bat. Ducknish (talk) 23:48, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
      • You REALLY don't get it, do you--what do you think your incorrect vandalism warnings mean to another editor? Really? You don't think that's "attacking me right off the bat"? And it is so obvious that you were wrong, like with that black hair nonsense, which you could have seen if you could have been bothered to look at the history, for instance. You first, Dicknush: you gave incorrect warnings for vandalism, and you're not man enough to own up to it. 66.168.247.159 (talk) 23:52, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Clarification

In regards to your comment here, I was referring to your type of edit (i.e. blanking content but with an explanation) when saying that it should have been reverted manually, rather than implying your edits should have been reverted. After re-reading my comment I can see why it may have come across that I meant your edits should have been reverted. Hope that clarifies it. Best. Acalamari 18:49, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • I thought so, Acalamari--I just hope this is clear to the other party. It's not something that is clear to a lot of editors who habitually revert IPs when they don't understand what's going on in an article. Those vandalism warnings are irritating. Happy editing, 66.168.247.159 (talk) 19:06, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure where you got the idea that I was "alright" - be careful about what you hear on "the street". Others seem to have a different view of my value here. :-). Never ever ever getting into a Taylor Swift article

Hi there. I've been looking into the behaviour of all the editors with regards to this music article. I don't have an issue with your behaviour, though I do believe some of the terminology you used could have been better so as to diffuse rather than exacerbate the situation, I also think the actual problems lay elsewhere. If it's of any consolation, I see no evidence that you are in any way a sock puppet and I hope you don't take the accusation to heart. WormTT(talk) 11:33, 30 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • That section title suggests all kinds of juicy things to the imagination; Taylor Swift is delicious, and my image of her is safe since I've never heard her sing. I appreciate the note. I am indeed not a sock, and I wasn't really worried about that, except on Staretc.'s behalf. Worm, between you, me, and the lamppost, I take terrific offense to whippersnappers taking longterm editors off to ANI, it totally rubs me the wrong way. I have not much of an opinion on Star's behavior: I didn't count the Rs there, though I know Star has a short fuse. Anyway, it's a content issue for the talk page, that DR thread won't solve it. Thanks for your message. 66.168.247.159 (talk) 00:01, 31 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, 66.168.247.159. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may need to consider our guidance on conflicts of interest.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 03:13, 31 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your summary for this edit read "we don't do mission statements". I read "we" as referring to the Timpview High School community. But even if I read it as the Wikipedia community, why don't we do mission statements on Wikipedia?   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 03:24, 31 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The Timpview community put it there in the first place. We don't do mission statements because they're not neutral, they're cliches, they're redundant. We also don't to lyrics, for similar reasons with the addition of copyvio, or complete curriculums, or lists of clubs, or names of bandleaders etc. I do have a COI with Wikipedia, I'll cop to that. 66.168.247.159 (talk) 03:39, 31 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A Precursory Review Of Your Activity

Please see: http://my.jetscreenshot.com/2306/20120915-vcl8-348kb From this, and your 'user-talk', it seems you should change your focus from deleting content, to adding or improving content instead. While I do anticipate that you honestly believe that your 'contributions' are overall useful, the objective bystander would seem to be prone to eye your edits with trepidation. And when you get right down to it... Anyone can delete or revert content. That's the easy stuff. The REAL men are the ones that can add fresh new content, or make substantial improvements to existing content.

(Also, signup for a real account, and consider moving out of Prattville. I've been there. It's boring.)

--MercWithMouth (talk) 06:13, 15 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What were you thinking making that dumb-ass comment? And I don't live in Prattville. Try regular English next time, at a level you can handle, and try not to be a dick to people who obviously know better than you. Happy editing. 66.168.247.159

    • Your overly defensive response does little to vindicate your case that you are competent in the ways of Wikipedia editing. In addition, you failed to negate the allegation that you are not suited for making deletions. I also feel compelled to indicate that if you believe my 'fancy words' are above the level of most people's understanding, then you are almost certainly a being of a lesser intelligence. Enjoy Prattsville.

MercWithMouth (talk) 15:04, 29 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Ha, I'm not overly defensive. You're a moron. Write a couple of articles and then come back here. And find a better IP tracer--this is Montgomery, dude. Try to fight your compulsions; it'll make you a better person. Now fuck off from this talk page: you may not post here anymore. 66.168.247.159 (talk) 16:44, 29 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You are welcome to continue editing without logging in, but many editors recommend that you create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits such as the ability to create articles. For a full outline and explanation of the benefits that come with creating an account, please see this page. If you edit without a username, your IP address (66.168.247.159) is used to identify you instead.

In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} before the question on this page. Again, welcome! Paradise (EP)

I'm very sorry you feel that way, but I think I do have knowledge on the topic. I studied English at SUNY Fredonia for eight years and earned a Bachelor's Degree in the field. I have written and published various short stories and a full-length novel. I know the rules of prose. Additionally, I'm not quite sure why you removed the phrase "...received production from..." either; that is correct English. It may not be flawless prose, but it is grammatically correct and a coherent thought. I would rather not embark on a futile edit war over something like this, so I will leave your version intact. Next time, I would be willing to have a polite conversation about this, rather than engaging in mean-spirited dialogue. Thank you. --Thevampireashlee (talk) 21:55, 1 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Then stop introducing grammatically incorrect usage. I have a Ph.D. in English and I teach linguistics and advanced English grammar to upperclassmen and at a graduate level, so mine is bigger than yours. If you think "received production from" is decent English, then I suspect your novel is published by Lulu.com. Thank you for your message. 66.168.247.159 (talk) 21:58, 1 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
