That's thank you, from A to Z (by word or language). Sometimes I'm not good about thanking folks who thank me for my aimless fiddling around on Wikipedia. So in case I do forget, this should cover it. If you'd like more words of appreciaton, find them here.

Hey, they even have translations of the classic My hovercraft is full of eels!

Here (and on my user page) are a few of the photos I've taken in my NRHP roadtrips. More to be found here.

Also, if you have an issue with me on Wikipedia, please comment here on Wikipedia. Not on Wikicommons, not on WikiVoyage, not on the Tardis Wikia. Here. Or not at all.

Troll

Re: the troll on my talk page, that's actually a sock puppet I think. Gonna file an SPI. Thanks for reverting though. EvergreenFir (talk) Please re 00:54, 12 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Took care of it.... Dbrodbeck (talk) 01:47, 12 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! I know it's not FF2, as he/she may be confused, but has never been outright mean. I've said it before, the mindset of trolls eludes me. Even when I was an adolescent boy I'd never have done this kind of childish stuff. Oh well, cheers.  :) --Ebyabe talk - Health and Welfare ‖ 01:50, 12 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Wild Heron

Your photo of Wild Heron at National Register of Historic Places listings in Chatham County, Georgia, for instance, does not match the house in the NRHP photos. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 04:41, 16 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

That's weird. I don't remember taking those pictures at all. It may have been remodeled, or that was the likeliest looking house at the location. There's no address, so I must've gone by geo-coordinates. I'm glad you moved the picture then. --Ebyabe talk - Opposites Attract ‖ 05:01, 16 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think it can be the same house remodeled - they are too different. I live less than an hour away from there, and I go up that way a few times per year, so I'll check it out. Unfortunately, it is near Richmond Hill, where I got in a bit of trouble twice. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 05:20, 16 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Looking at Google Maps, I see the big house with five columns, but it is probably the one with the red roof that is nearby. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 05:27, 16 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
And the color photo here shows it with a reddish roof. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 05:31, 16 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You know the area better, so I will trust your judgement. Usually when I can look at a picture I took, the whole experience of taking it comes flooding back to me. I'll recall what was playing on the radio, the temperature, where I had to park, etc. For this place, nothing. Heck, even Google Street Viewing how I would have gotten there isn't bringing back anything. :(
Richmond Hill is where I stayed when visiting Savannah. Infinitely cheaper. Like $30/night. It's a bit of a drive up 17, but nice. Be careful whenever you get back there.  :) --Ebyabe talk - Welfare State ‖ 12:29, 16 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I looked at it on Google Maps and the satellite view. Wild Heron Dr. goes to the house you photographed, the one I believe is the actual one on the NRHP, and one on the other side. It ends there. If it is a public street - no problem. But if it is a private drive, I'm going to stay out. From the public highway, I could easily get the house you photographed, but it is blocking the actual NRHP house. So it depends on whether or not that is a private drive. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 15:11, 16 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I understand. I've been kind of lucky with photo'ing houses, often meeting the owners. When I explain what I'm doing, they usually happily let me photograph the place. But then everyone doesn't have the Irish charm like me. :) Anyways, good luck and practice safe photographing. :) --Ebyabe talk - Border Town ‖ 15:20, 16 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I've only had those two problems. I pulled into a private driveway and one man was positively angry. Another asked for identification, but was OK otherwise, but two or three times I asked if I could snap one quick photo, and he said nom it is private property. Often people ask me what I'm doing. One was concerned about the rain on my camera (it was raining a lot on my trip to Peach county a couple of weeks ago.) Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 02:30, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
And speaking of hotel expense, everything within 50 miles of Nashville seems to be a lot higher. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 02:36, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It's been over ten years since my mom and I visited Nashville. We got a hotel near-ish to the airport, and I don't remember it being terribly pricey. But everything's gone up, hasn't it? Regarding the photo taking. I wouldn't pull into a private driveway. I usually park on the side of the road when I'm not in cities where I have to use actual parking spots. I'm a park and walk around kind of guy. With Google Street View, I've even taken to scout out potential parking spots in advance. And hey, at least you didn't drop your camera in a river. I was trying to get shots of the bridges over the Apalachicola River in Chattahoochee. Little did I know how muddy the river bottom was. My feet sank up to my ankles. I almost lost my sneakers. Trying to extricate myself, I dropped my camera. I got it out, but the next day or so there was an aura/fog around the edges of the photos I took. Surprisingly the camera lasted a while after that before finally giving out in Bartow in 2011. Where I got a better camera at Wal-Mart for a quarter of the price of the old one. Needless to say, I am much more careful with that camera, and don't go wading in rivers so blithely anymore.  :) --Ebyabe talk - Border Town ‖ 02:57, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I've done some rivers, but I do it from bridges. Usually if a camera goes in the water, you can forget it. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 03:16, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I like getting under-bridge shots when I can, 'cause I think it's interesting to see the support structure. And I couldn't remember, so I checked the pictures. It was 4 months after dropping in the river that the camera finally phased out. So I was lucky there. What I recall more after the wet camera incident was taking my sneakers off and putting them on the dashboard to dry in the sun, since I didn't have a spare pair with me. Another thing I learned to have on hand after that, doncha know.  :) --Ebyabe talk - Health and Welfare ‖ 05:14, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I do rivers differently, see:

Trip plans

Planing NHRP photo trips is fun. I plan that I can hit these counties if I go this route, these counties if I go a different route, etc. I started with ones close by. Then I made some trips that I could make in a few hours. And some trips I'm going somewhere anyway, and get things in the area or along the way. I've about run out of stuff that I can do without staying overnight, but I've got a couple of overnight trips in my mind. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 23:05, 23 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I like the planning part too. 'Cause I'm kind of OCD and I overplan. Spreadsheets with all the spots, maps of the best routes, and always more spots than I'm likely to able to visit. I don't want to run out part way through. Which has never happened. :) Actually, I have preparations for all of Florida, at least what I haven't seen yet. And places I want to revisit and/or get better shots. I also throw in other things, like museums and bridges and rivers and state parks. Which is how it started with me, wanting to visit and photograph all our state parks. One trip I'd like to do is US 441 through Georgia. I've driven all of it in Florida, and bits in Georgia, but not the whole way. Also there are a few covered bridges in Georgia I think and I'd like to see those. Anyway, luck and fun in all your travels, and enjoy the journey as well as the destination. --Ebyabe talk - Welfare State ‖ 00:12, 24 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Signature

Hey there,

I noticed your signature is no longer showing up on mobile devices as it contains depricated HTML elements, however this is easily fixed. Can I suggest you change your signiture code to --<span style="color:#111111;">‖ Ebyabe talk - <small><span style="cursor:help;">General Health</small></span></span> ‖, giving --Ebyabe talk - General Health ‖ (the same result as before). Thanks, Mdann52 (talk) 16:24, 25 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have a randomized signature. I made some tweaks, so let's see if that's better. --Ebyabe talk - Health and Welfare ‖ 20:03, 25 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
P.S. Thanks for the headsup. I don't do mobile devices, so I am completely unaware of an discrepancies therein. --Ebyabe talk - State of the Union ‖ 20:04, 25 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The basic changes that could be made are changing the <font color="#xxxxxx"> to <span style="color:#xxxxxx;">, should fix all the issues. Mdann52 (talk) 20:14, 25 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
OK, did that. Is it better now? --Ebyabe talk - General Health ‖ 20:19, 25 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

We shall see what the sockpuppet investigation turns up. In the meantime, please see WP:DUCK. You might want to edit some non-Disney related articles, that'd be a start. --Ebyabe talk - Welfare State ‖ 23:14, 29 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, and I removed the dead link and a bunch of unsourced personal stuff from the Bill Farmer article. If this continues, it may wind up being only two or three sentences, since it is hideously unreferenced. Which would be ok, per WP:BIOGRAPHY. Cheers. --Ebyabe talk - Opposites Attract ‖ 23:23, 29 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Mwahahaha. It is a thing that we long term editors seem to excel in isn't it :-) OTOH we aren't creating accounts that have personal attacks on other editors as part of their titles. Perhaps, after they get me banned I begin watching my Dr Who DVDs and work my way from 1963 to 2015. My eyes will be tired after that I can tell ya. MarnetteD|Talk 19:41, 30 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@MarnetteD: I'm interested in how he/they will get us banned. See this. Maybe I can spend more time on Tumblr. And hey, new seasons of Doctor Who and Supernatural starting in about 3 weeks, so it's not like I'd have nothing to do. Cheers! :) --Ebyabe talk - Welfare State ‖ 19:46, 30 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. I have requested remediation (I hope went about it the right way). Many years ago I had a similar struggle on wiki with this page. You can read the entire progression on the talk part of the page. Could you explain why you feel that what was resolved many years ago, needed to be undone? In the end it doesn't really matter what a webpage says or doesn't say. Yet, this is supposed to be Wikipedia and considered accurate by most. Any new news articles will use wiki as a scourse, perpetuating the mis-information. All the best, Carin Cvanderdonk (talk) 10:00, 31 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Fat Acceptance article

Hi there! This has become a very difficult change to submit. Marianne Kirby and Lesley Kinzel have created a YouTube channel called Lounging with Pizza, and during their first video they talk about the errors I'm trying to correct on wikipedia's Fat Acceptance movement page. Lesley Kinzel's blog is currently called Two Whole Cakes, but she is originally from Fatshionista, and was co-founder of the Fatshionista livejournal that is linked to in the references, not Marianne Kirby. Additionally, Marianne Kirby is from The Rotund. You can see examples of this by going to therotund.com (which will redirect you to mariannekirby.com, which will show you that Marianne Kirby is The Rotund) and fatshionista.com (which will redirect you to blog.twowholecakes.com, where it shows that it is written by Lesley Kinzel "previously of fatshionista.com"). Can you tell me how to make these corrections in a manner that will not have them reverted for the fourth time? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.146.205.47 (talk) 05:12, 2 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have started a discussion at Talk:Fat acceptance movement. Please place your commentary there. Btw, if you keep changing without providing reliable sources, you will likely get blocked. Please do not comment further here, as it is an inappropriate venue for article improvement discussion. --Ebyabe talk - General Health ‖ 13:33, 2 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
