Manoj Shukla, known professionally as, Manoj Muntashir (born 27 February 1976 as Manoj Shukla)[1] is an Indian lyricist, TV script and screenwriter.[2]

He wrote the lyrics to the song "Galliyan" from the film Ek Villain. He wrote the lyrics of the song "Tere Sang Yaara" from the film Rustom.[3] He wrote the lyrics of much acclaimed song "Kaun Tujhe" from the film M.S Dhoni: The Untold Story.[4] He also wrote the lyrics of the song "Phir Bhi Tumko Chaahunga", with over 250 million views on YouTube.[5]

Early life

Muntashir was born in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, India.[6] His pen name Muntashir meaning diffused or scattered.

Career

He has written lyrics for Bollywood films and TV shows.[7] He also wrote lyrics for the song "Galliyan" from Ek Villain with music by Ankit Tiwari. He also wrote the lyrics for Himesh Reshammiya's album Aap Se Mausiiquii.[citation needed]

Dialogue writer

In 2015, while working on Baahubali, he was narrating the story in Hindi, impressed by his language depth, the film director, S S Rajamouli, asked to write the dialogues and lyrics for the songs for the Hindi version of the film Baahubali: The Beginning.[citation needed] He also wrote Hindi dialogues for the Hollywood blockbuster Black Panther.

Personal life

He is married to Neelam Muntashir and they have one child.[8][9]
