Welcome to WikiProject Oceans. Some Wikipedians have formed this collaboration resource and group dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of Oceans and the organization of information and articles on this topic. This page and its subpages contain their suggestions and various resources; it is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians interested in the topic. If you would like to help, please join the project, inquire on the talk page and see the to-do list below.
Goals
The goals of this project are to create, improve, and maintain articles relating to oceans.
Scope
The scope of this project will include the articles within the Category:Oceans, Category:Seas, and Category:Gulfs, given the often ill-defined boundaries between such bodies. However, should there develop other projects with overlapping scope, this project will deal primarily with those articles which do not fall within the scope of any of those other projects.
Other : add ISBNs and remove excessive or inappropriate external links from Aral Sea; check La Belle (ship) for GA status; improve citations or footnotes and remove excessive or inappropriate external links from MS Estonia
Participants
Please feel free to add yourself here, and to indicate any areas of particular interest.

Please feel free to list your new Oceans-related articles here (newer articles at the top, please). Any new articles that have an interesting or unusual fact in them, are at least over 1,000 characters, don't have any dispute templates on them, and cite their sources, should be suggested for the Did you know? box on the Wikipedia Main Page.
Don't know how to do this properly, but I've been waiting about a month for the "rapid fedback on your new article" thing to pick up my first article, which is on August von Jilek - thanks, Nargoon.
Note that new stub templates should be proposed before creation at WP:WSS/P.
You may find that a talk page assessment template may be more useful to you than a stub template (see Category:WikiProject banners and Wikipedia:WikiProject Templates for more information)-->
