North India, according to the Geological Survey of India, refers to the northern region of India comprising the states of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and the Union Territories of Delhi and Chandigarh.[1]
