Hello, I have noticed you have made three consecutive edits to Desi a few days ago. However, none of them have any sources. You also stated that the sources mentioned more countries and ethnic groups but they don't. So basically you are breaking another Wikipedia rule in conjunction with adding unsourced information. So I'm asking you kindly to revert those edits you made and restore the version last edited by Typritc (talk · contribs). I'm happy to take this to Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard or Wikipedia:Administrators' Noticeboard if you aren't interested in reverting your unsourced edits. My edit request yesterday was declined out of concern that it may cause an edit war with you. So I have decided to talk to you directly and kindly ask, once again, to revert your edits. Okay thanks for that but you need to remove Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka as well. None of those countries are mentioned in the source and there are no credible sources to claim that those countries are "desi". Where do they say that? The first source says, "A person of Indian, Pakistani, or Bangladeshi birth or descent who lives abroad". The second source says, "This kind of clinical meaning that doesn’t take into account how “desi” identity has morphed. It makes no mention of Sri Lanka or The Maldives". None of the sources support your claims. So please remove "Nepal, Maldives and Sri Lanka" from that information or we can take this to Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard. Sri Lanka

Hi Sri Lanka was never allied with the US... Sri Lanka did help Pakistan but that was for different reason .I edited the information and added citations . Page 7 of that CIA document( https://www.cia.gov/library/readingroom/docs/CIA-RDP83S00854R000200130001-0.pdf) explain why SL helped Pakistan. Pakistan was a formal ally of the US while but SL was in the non -aligned movement and receiving military and economic assistance from both the US and USSR (http://www.island.lk/index.php?page_cat=article-details&page=article-details&code_title=13217). In fact Sri Lanka was a founding nation of the non-aligned movement and the non-aligned summit was held in Sri Lanka in 1976 (https://www.scribd.com/document/84464515/Sri-Lanka-s-Role-in-NAM).

Hello! I saw your edits on Bakarkhani. Thanks for correcting a lot of misleading information in that article. I've seen a number of times some editors repeatedly removing the citations from Banglapedia and Daily Sun and the cited contents from that article. In your edits you missed to correct the place of origin of Bakarkhani in the infobox. It should be Old Dhaka in Bangladesh. You can take a look at this revision to get a clear idea. It looks like the article has been extended protected due to which I can't edit it. Also, I'd suggest you to keep that article in your watchlist. Thanks again. You're right, exactly. Apparently, they have distorted other articles as well, I just edited Borhani, especially the infobox where they are replacing Bangladesh with Indian subcontinent in a whole sale. @Alivardi - Even I struggle with this book as it was written a very long time ago and the vocabulary can be difficult but this is what it says: Respected Achyutcharan Chowdhury and the sign/relic of the stone of Pratapgarh. You've been editing long enough that you should know better than to do this. The |journal parameter of {{cite journal}} is for the name of the journal, which in this case is Bangla Academy Patrika. The |title parameter of the template is for the title of the article within the journal. Putting the wrong information into citation fields, thereby hiding the error message and concealing from the community that the citation needs to be fixed, is unhelpful. --Worldbruce (talk) 17:06, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
