Hi, I'm Sceptre. You can call me Will. I'm 15, and I was born on March 3, 1991. Here's a picture of me taken last July, and here's some music I like. The reason you see these kinds of designs on my page is because I can't stand ugliness on my userpage. Basically, I like nice soft pastel-like colors. No Dulux please. You may actually see me sometimes redesigning other people's userpages for no reason. If you like what I do, thank me on my talk page.

Wikipedia

I'm an admin of Wikipedia, and I normally revert vandalism, block users, close AfD discussions and delete articles. I'll be able to do most admin tasks, so ask me if you want one doing. Hell, you can view my admin logs to see what I've been up to.

Revert rule

Any user can reverse any action of mine, and if it's an administrative action, I would prefer notice afterwards. If you'd like to contest any of my actions apart from blocks, explain your reasons why the action should be reversed on my talk page. For blocks, email me.

AFD

Please remember that AFD is a discussion, not a vote. I'm using my best judgement on closing discussions on which there is a weak consensus (60-70%). If you honestly think I've closed the AFD the wrong way, then contest it on my talk page.

Personal attacks

I frown upon personal attacks, especially homophobia. I'm not gay myself, but a few prominent users have identified themselves as gay, and any attack on homosexuality will get you a final warning from me. Attack me, you're blocked. No questions asked. Users have a right to edit without harrassment and attacks.

Three revert rule

I enforce this policy a lot. If you think you've been unfairly blocked, tell me why politely. We make mistakes, after all. In reality, I'm a fan of the one revert rule, and I support the idea of curtailing admin wheel warring.

If I blocked you...

I blocked you for a reason. Email me for an unblock, telling me your username/IP, and the reason you should be unblocked. Calling me gay/fag is not funny, and it will warrant you a longer block. You won't get unblocked if you attack my age either.

The sword-billed hummingbird (Ensifera ensifera) is a neotropical species of hummingbird from the Andean regions of South America. Among the largest species of hummingbird, it is characterized by its unusually long beak, being the only bird to have a beak longer than the rest of its body, excluding the tail. It uses this to drink nectar from flowers with long corollas and has coevolved with the plant Passiflora mixta. While most hummingbirds preen using their beaks, the sword-billed hummingbird uses its feet to scratch and preen due to its beak being so long.Photograph credit: Andy Morffew

Redirects

A redirect is a page that has the sole purpose to automatically redirect readers to a differently named page; to take the reader where they really wanted to go. Redirects allow a topic to have more than one title. Redirects are used for synonyms, abbreviations (initialisms), acronyms, accented terms (diacritics), misspellings, typos, nicknames (pseudonyms), scientific names, etc.

To create a redirect for the term "Oof":

1. Type Oof in the search box, press ↵ Enter
2. Click on the redlink for Oof that it presents
3. In the edit window that appears, type #REDIRECT [[Foo]] on the first line to make it lead to the article Foo
4. Redirects should be organized in to categories too. Each redirect can have up to seven redirect categories. Categories go on the third line of the redirect. (Note: Plant has a subcategory within the category of scientific name; enter plant after a pipe).

Here are two examples of a redirect category using a category template:

• {{R from birth name}}
• {{R from scientific name|plant}}

Preview your new redirect before saving it. Make sure:

1. There is a big right-facing arrow to the left of the bolded name of your target page name.
2. That your target page is bolded in blue (if it is red, go back and double check your target name in the edit window).
3. That your redirect category has rendered properly and that the boilerplate it presents makes sense.
