Please note:

No request by an unregistered editor will be accepted unless the IP has done significant work on the article. Drive-by IP requests already on the list may be declined by any editor.
The average waiting time is two or so months. Please be patient and feel free to improve your requested article while you wait.
If you plan to nominate the article for good article, A-class or featured article status, please wait until the copy edit is complete before nominating it.
Having your article copy edited by our team does not guarantee that the prose will be considered acceptable during any of the above reviews.
You may have up to two open requests at any one time. This is enforced so that every request can have a fair chance of being fulfilled within a reasonable period.

Requests may be declined if the article is:

in the Draft or User namespaces, or is awaiting review at Wikipedia:Articles for creation;
unstable, undergoing rapid development, the venue for an ongoing edit war, or otherwise not yet suitable for copy editing.

Instructions for copy editors

Once you have accepted a request, it may be helpful to add a section to the article's Talk page explaining that you will be copy-editing the article and that other editors are welcome to post questions and comments for you while you are doing so. Remember to add another note when you are done.
Please ensure that you are familiar with the Wikipedia Manual of Style and the expectations for editing for the GOCE outlined in our Step by Step guide. The simplified Manual of Style is here. A number of national varieties of English are present throughout the encyclopedia, and no one variety is preferred. Keep spelling and date formatting consistent within an article.
When you accept a request, place an indented {{Working}} template immediately beneath the request and sign your post with four tildes (~~~~) so other copy editors know not to accept it.
Accept only one request at a time.
Articles that are potential Featured Article candidates should be handled by experienced editors.
If you have accepted a request but cannot fulfill it for any reason, please amend it with either:
- a note of the sections you have completed so someone else can complete the copy edit, or;
- a suitable template: {{Not done}}, {{Partly done}}, or Abandoned (not a template!). Please make a good-faith effort to complete a copyedit; excessive use of the "Partly done" template does little (or nothing) to reduce the backlog.
- If the article is unstable, experiencing rapid development, an ongoing edit war or apparent ownership issues, open a discussion on Requests talk to inform project coordinators.
- Acceptances that appear to have been abandoned will be checked after a reasonable period, usually one week after the timestamp. In cases of complete inactivity we will ask for an update on your talk page. If no response is received within one further week, the {{Working}} template will be removed so other editors may complete the copy edit.
When you have completed a request, add the template {{Done}} below the request and sign your post with four tildes (~~~~) and a bot will archive it in about 24 hours. Instructions for coordinators

Stale requests marked as "Working": Acceptances that appear to have been abandoned should be checked for activity after a reasonable period, usually one week after the timestamp. In cases of complete inactivity, a coordinator should ask for an update on the copy editor's talk page. Write "Asked X for update on talk page" below the "Working" line on the Requests page. If no response is received within one further week, the {{Working}} template should be removed so that other editors may complete the copy edit.
Quality control: Articles from the Requests page that are completed by newer editors should be reviewed for quality by a coordinator, time permitting. The top priority is to review articles that are FA candidates; the second priority, GA and DYK candidates.

On hold: I've asked a coordinator to help me take a look at the references section of the page as I noticed that some sources don't seem to be supporting the sentences they're next to. However, there is also an official celebrity page that we could maybe refer to if it's considered credible for Wikipedia. I'm still quite new to Wikipedia's criteria, so I didn't want to overlook anything just in case. It's been clarified to me that as a copy editor, I don't need to focus on the references of a Wikipedia page. Comment, @MaggieAtKryton: Just so you know, WP:MINREF outlines when a statement requires an inline citation. You should remove the statement if any of the 4 criteria apply listed on the page for a statement lacking an inline citation. As you mentioned, this is not applicable to copyediting work, but it's still very useful for editing wikipedia in other aspects. @Solavirum: I think it is technically possible to track every server in this network one by one and it's mentioned in the article "Tor is not designed to completely erase tracking (...)" but from what I read in articles there is contradictory narrative and some people are not trackable so how they do it? Is there any article discussing it? "It directs Internet traffic through a free, worldwide, volunteer overlay network, consisting of more than six thousand relays" - what are those relays and all of them are hosted by The Tor Project from from donations as The Tor Project is nonprofit organization? @Ippantekina: "The song was released for digital download as a promotional single" - "download" and "promotional single"? I assume it was download only for DJ's? I have checked the source and it was released on iTunes in 2014 so it's standard single and released in infobox should be fixed ("“Out Of The Woods” will be released on iTunes tomorrow, and Swift has released a video of herself discussing the track, which was written and produced by fun.". "Australian Singles Chart" is not actual chart name so I have removed capitals. Charts table: "2014–16" - you need to divide table by year of peak otherwise we don't know when it peaked. @Eurohunter: Thank you for reaching out. To address your comments: (1) The WP:SONG community has established that being released onto iTunes alone does not necessarily make the song a single (see WP:SINGLE?); after its October 2014 release Taylor Swift and the label also said it was not a single at that point of time). (2) "digital download" refers to music download where a user on the internet can download music from a site. (3) unless the time gap is considerable (I'd say a 5-year gap) I'd keep the current charts section as it is because it is hard to trace when the song peaked/charted by retrieving certain chart history links. Seattle SuperSonics

Would like to work heavily on this article and give it a major overhaul, especially on its references (i.e. adding where needed). However, there's a huge chunk of the article centered around the franchise's former possibility of being revived, particularly via other teams relocating. This "Possible new franchise" section seems like it has a truly undue weight in the overall Sonics article (References #39–#74 out of 81 total are introduced in this section, with #39–#61 being completely related to the Sacramento Kings' early 2010s possibility of moving to Seattle.
