The 1982 Yco-Tanduay season was the eighth season of the franchise in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).

Summary

Powered by last year's best import Russell Murray, who return to the Esquires in the first conference of the season. Yco-Tanduay won their first two games, defeated Gilbey's, 112-105 on March 9, as they overcame Lew Massey's 61-point debut with the Ginsmakers, [1] and beat Great Taste, 117-103 on March 13, for their second win. Yco-Tanduay finish the elimination phase with an even 9-win, 9-loss slate. The Esquires were swept in two games by Toyota Super Corollas in the best-of-three quarterfinals.

With 6-11 Jerome Henderson and 6-8 Curtis Berry as their imports in the Open Conference, [2] Yco-Tanduay finish third behind N-Rich Coffee and Gilbey's Gin with an 11-7 won-loss card after 18 games, going into the last playing date of the quarterfinal round on November 23, all four teams; Yco-Tanduay, Toyota, San Miguel and U/Tex were tied at one win and one loss each. The Esquires lost to Toyota Super Corollas, 105-116, and were eliminated from the four-team semifinals.
