Geldeston is a parish and village in Norfolk. It is about one mile westward of Gillingham and two miles north west of Beccles. Other nearby villages include Ellingham and Kirby Cane, immediately to its west.
The parish covers an area of 3.40 km2 (1.31 sq mi). In 2001,[1] it had a population of 398 in 161 households. This declined, very slightly, to 397 in 157 households at the 2011 census.[2]
The church of Geldeston St Michael is one of 124 round-tower churches in Norfolk, England. The current incumbent of the parish is the Reverend David Smith, who was licensend as priest-in-charge of the Waveney Benefice and the Raveningham Group on 4 March 2020. He moved from the Harling United Benefice in southwest Norfolk.[3] The previous rector, until June 2018, was Julie Oddy-Bates.
