Capitol Singapore, a landmark integrated development set in Singapore’s Civic and Cultural District, comprises the iconic Capitol Theatre, a premier retail mall, the luxurious Eden Residences Capitol, the ultra-luxury The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore, and the Arcade @ The Capitol Kempinski, a sunlit atrium hosting a series of modern and classical dining establishments. It is home to three iconic conservation buildings, namely Stamford House, Capitol Theatre and Capitol Building. Through this seamless blend of past and present, the prime development offers visitors a truly distinctive and unforgettable experience.

Background

Built on the former site of the Capitol Centre as the part of Capitol Singapore development by Capitol Investment Holdings,[1] the Capitol Piazza was partially opened in late March 2015.[2] The two storey mall with two basements consists of the following sections: an Open Plaza, an Arcade, the Galleria and Neue.[3]

Notable food and beverage outlets, like 1933 and Palette Restaurant & Bar, both by BreadTalk Group, the Italian Equilibrium and the Chinese Four Seasons restaurants were opened at the mall. The mall was also the place where the Finnish fashion store Marimekko and the Spanish shoe store Carmina Shoemaker opened their first stores in Singapore in late March and July 2015 receptively.[4]

In 21 April 2016, the Palette Restaurant & Bar was rebranded as Food Republic.[5]
