Bheeman Reghu (born Raghu Damodharan; 6 October 1953) is an Indian film actor who appears mainly in Malayalam films. His villainous roles are always praised. In a career spanning over three decades, he has appeared in more than 400 films, and has recently started doing comic roles as well. Raghu's debut movie was Bheeman (1982), from which he got his stage name. By profession, Reghu was a Police Inspector in the Kerala State Police.He is the only film actor in malayalam cinema that look likes the same body figure of the legendary actor Jayan.He comes to films as one of the experimental replacement for the actor Jayan after his sudden demise.

Early life

Bheeman Raghu was born on 6 October 1953 in Changanacherry, Kottayam district, Travancore Cochin to K. P. Damodharan Nair, former Municipal Commissioner, and Thankamma. He studied at St. Stephen's school Pathanapuram. He had his college studies from (SD College) Sanatana Dharma College, Alappuzha and University college, Thiruvananthapuram.[1] He obtained LLB graduation from Government Law College, Thiruvananthapuram. He was a police officer before entering the cinema field.[2] He ran unsuccessfully as a candidate of BJP-led National Democratic Alliance in the 2016 Assembly elections from Pathanapuram constituency, which got statewide attention as there saw a contest of three film stars - Sitting MLA and former Minister K. B. Ganesh Kumar (Kerala Congress (B), LDF), Jagadeesh (Indian National Congress, UDF) and Raghu contested.

Personal life

Bheeman Reghu got married on 18 January 1978. He and his wife have three children.
