- It has been subsequently claimed by manager Eoin Hand that the Republic of Ireland actually lost 1–2 to a local club side on 30 May, then defeated Trinidad and Tobago 3–0 on 3 June, but the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association swapped around the results so that the first game was the "official" international and the second game reclassified as a friendly. In the absence of any media reports or FAI officials, there was no-one to gainsay them[1][2]
