History

The town is infamous for the tragic Bukit Kepong Incident. The government has built a museum to commemorate the heroic actions of the Bukit Kepong police against the communists or locally known as Bintang Tiga. The museum which situated on the bank of Muar river, opens everyday except on Mondays with a very cheap entrance ticket. Its a worth experience here as the galleries are modern and interactive.
