London is the largest city in Southwestern Ontario, although Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge is a larger urban area. In London, there are 16 buildings that stand taller than 70 metres (230 ft). The tallest building in the city is the 24-storey, 113.4 m (372 ft) One London Place.[1] This is the tallest office building in Ontario outside of Toronto and Ottawa. Originally there were plans to construct a twin tower called Two London Place; however, due to the recession of the early 1990s, this structure was never built. The second-tallest building in the city is City Centre Tower South, standing at 96 m (315 ft) tall with 23 storeys.

As of July 2015, the city contains 13 skyscrapers over 80 m (262 ft) and 136 high-rise buildings that exceed 35 m (115 ft) in height.[2]

Additionally, there are 10 high-rises that are planned to reach a height of at least 60 metres under construction, approved for construction, and proposed for construction in London.
