Daihatsu Luxio is a compact minivan designed by Daihatsu and manufactured by Astra Daihatsu. Based on Daihatsu Gran Max, Luxio was intended to be the higher spec passenger version of it. It has a slightly wider body, much taller and cosmetically different to Gran Max. The name Luxio came from the word "luxury"

Engine

Daihatsu Luxio rear

Luxio have a 1.5 L 3SZ-VE derived from Daihatsu Terios, producing 109 PS (80 kW; 108 bhp) and 13.7 kg⋅m (134 N⋅m) of torque. The only different between Luxio and Terios engine is the "hum" noise characteristic caused by lacking of insulation around the engine bay.

Features

Daihatsu Luxio is available in three different trim levels: D, M, and X. The similarities between the trim lines are the beige seats with all row headreast and seatbelts and wing mirrors with turning signals. The Luxio D has basic wheels with hubcaps, double din audio and basic air conditioning; whilst M and X have cast alloy wheels, fog lamps, parking sensor (for all Luxio M, but several Luxio X), body kits (Luxio X) and 2nd row captain seats (Luxio X). In 2014, all of the trims, now only consist of D (manual 5 speed only) and X (with 4 speed automatic transmission option), with now have been facelifted and became more "Avanza-esque" cosmetic detail.[1]
