Dhapai is a village in Kapurthala district of Punjab State, India. It is located 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) from Kapurthala, which is both district and sub-district headquarters of Dhapai. The village is administrated by a sarpanch, an elected representative of the village.[1]

Demography

According to the report published by Census India in 2011, Dhapai has a total number of 265 houses and population of 1,208 of which include 635 males and 573 females. Literacy rate of Dhapai is 81.76%, higher than state average of 75.84%. The population of children under the age of 6 years is 106 which is 8.77% of total population of Dhapai, and child sex ratio is approximately 536, lower than state average of 846.[2]
