Ghug is a village in Kapurthala district of Punjab State, India. It is located 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) from Kapurthala, which is both district and sub-district headquarters of Ghug. The village is administrated by a sarpanch, an elected representative of the village.[1]

Demography

According to the report published by Census India in 2011, Ghuga has total number of 117 houses and population of 612 of which include 318 males and 294 females. Literacy rate of Ghuga is 67.03%, lower than state average of 75.84%. The population of children under the age of 6 years is 57 which is 9.31% of total population of Ghuga , and child sex ratio is approximately 1036, higher than state average of 846.[2]
