IIM Jammu

Indian Institute of Management Jammu (IIM Jammu) is a public, autonomous business school located in Jammu, Jammu & Kashmir, India. Established in 2016, it is, as of 2017, the latest Indian Institute of Management to be established. It is being mentored by Indian Institute of Management Lucknow.[2]

History

IIM Jammu is the 20th Indian Institute of Management established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. It was established with the approval of the Union Cabinet, chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 13 October 2016.[3][4] It is mentored by the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow.[5]

Campus

IIM Jammu is temporarily located at the Old Government College of Engineering & Technology, Jammu till it moves to its own campus of approximately 200 acres, for which Detailed Project Report is under preparation and thereafter the process for setting up of the campus would start.[6]

Academics

The institute is offering Post Graduate Diploma Programme (PGDP) in Management which is equivalent to MBA. The student intake for 2016–2017 year is 54 which will progressively go up to a cumulative student strength of 120 in the 4th year.[6]
