These vibrant paintings are characterized by their bright colors, intricate patterns, and a distinct white border outlining each element. Artists use natural colors and the paintings adorn canvases, walls, and floors, often in sacred spaces. This traditional art form is believed to have originated when King Janak asked villagers to decorate their village to celebrate the wedding of Lord Rama and Sita. The paintings frequently depict scenes from the Ramayana or portray Lord Krishna with the Gopis, capturing the essence of Indian mythology and culture. [6]
