Pilar is a fourth class municipality in the province of Bohol, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 28,693.[2]

History
Pilar was formerly a barrio of Sierra Bullones, known as Lungsodaan. It became a separate municipality on December 29, 1961, by Executive Order No. 460 issued by then President Carlos P. Garcia.[1]
