For the 2d generetion Amora sage of Babylon, see Hiyya b. Joseph. For the former Sefardi Chief Rabbi of Israel, see Ovadia Yosef.

Rav Yosef b. Hiyya (Hebrew: רב יוסף בר חייא) was a Jewish Amora sage of Babylon of the third generation of the Amoraim. He was a disciple of Judah bar Ezekiel and was Abaye's teacher, and a scholarly "Bar Plugata"-opponent of Rabbah bar Nahmani ("Rabbah"), the head of the academy of Pumbedita.

Rav Yosef was also blind.
