Romania was represented in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 by singer Luminiţa Anghel and the percussion band Sistem with the song "Let Me Try". They were ranked third in the final, Romania's best ever result at Eurovision.

At Eurovision

Because Romania placed 18th at the 2004 contest,Luminita Anghel & Sistem were forced to compete in the Eurovision semi-final,They performing 14th, following Norway and preceding the Hungary Romania was ranked first, with 235 points and qualifying for the final.In the final, Romania performed 4th, following Malta and preceding the Norway it placed third with 158 points.Meaning that Romania automatically qualified for the final in the 2006 contest.

The spokesperson who revealed Romania's votes for other countries was singer and TVR host Berbi Barbera.[1]
