Steven P. Baron (born December 7, 1990) is an American professional baseball catcher in the Seattle Mariners organization. He was drafted in the first round, 33rd pick overall, of the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft. He attended Ferguson High School.
He is said to have good bat speed but timing issues, average power, good speed for a catcher, average baseruning skills, and good fielding skills.[1]
In his first professional season, 2009, Baron played for the Rookie-Level Pulaski Mariners of the Appalachian League. He batted .179 with 19 hits, six doubles, two home runs and 13 RBIs in 30 games. He was considered one of the best defensive catchers in the '09 draft.[2]

Logan Bawcom (born November 2, 1988) is a professional baseball pitcher in the Seattle Mariners organization.
He was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 17th round of the 2010 MLB Draft and then traded (along with Leon Landry) to the Mariners for Brandon League on July 31, 2012.[3] He was added to the 40-man roster on November 20, 2013[4] and designated for assignment on December 17, 2014.[5]

Jabari Jerell Blash (born July 4, 1989) is a professional baseball outfielder in the Seattle Mariners organization.
Blash was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 29th round of the 2007 Major League Baseball Draft out of Amalie High School in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. He did not sign and attended Miami-Dade College. He was then drafted by the Texas Rangers in the ninth round of the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft.[6] He again did not sign and returned to Miami-Dade. The Seattle Mariners then took him in the eighth round of the 2010 Major League Baseball Draft and he signed.[7][8]
Blash made his professional debut for the Pulaski Mariners. In 2013 he hit 25 home runs with a .915 on-base plus slugging (OPS) while playing for the High Desert Mavericks and Jackson Generals. He started 2014 back with Jackson and was promoted to the Tacoma Rainiers in April[9][10]

Andrew Donnelly Carraway (born baseball pitcher in the Seattle Mariners organization. He was drafted in the 12th round of the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft.[11]
September 4, 1986) is a professionalAt Walton High School Carraway was a two-year letter winner. He also helped his team get to the 5A Region Championship as junior. Awards received by Carraway included All-Cobb County and all-state honors, Baseball Coaches Award, MVP of East Cobb Summer Team and a finalist for the Wendy’s Heisman Award.
In his first season at the University of Virginia he went 2-0 with a 2.91 ERA in 19 appearances. He also pitched in three shutout games and threw 33 strikeouts. He was selected to inaugural All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Baseball Team.
Carraway went 5-0 with a 3.60 ERA and 33 strikeouts 22 games. He was named to the ACC All-Academic Baseball Team and the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
He went 4-3 with a 4.06 ERA in 15 games, and 13 starts. He was named to the All-ACC Academic Baseball Team for third straight year as well as ACC Academic Honor Roll.
His senior year, Carraway went 9-2 with a 3.96 ERA in 16 games, 13 of which were starts. Carraway started the ACC Championship game in which Virginia beat Florida State University, and went on to receive the first ever win for a University of Virginia pitcher in the College World Series, eliminating Cal State Fullerton.
Carraway began his professional career in 2009 with the Short-Season Everett AquaSox of the Northwest League and the Class-A Clinton LumberKings of the Midwest League. He went a combined 8-0 with a 2.09 ERA, one save and 60 strikeouts in 17 games, 10 starts. In his first full year in professional baseball, he recorded a 5.33 ERA in the notoriously hitter-friendly California League for the High Desert Mavericks, and led the team in wins and strikeouts.
Carraway started the 2012 season playing for the Jackson Generals in the AA Southern League.
On May 10, 2012, Carraway was promoted from the Jackson Generals to the AAA Tacoma Rainiers when RHP Brian Sweeney was placed on the DL.

Edwin Orlando Díaz (born March 22, 1994) is a professional baseball pitcher in the Seattle Mariners organization.
Díaz was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the third round of the 2012 Major League Baseball Draft out of Caguas Military Academy in Caguas, Puerto Rico.[12][13] He made his professional debut that season for the Arizona League Mariners. In nine games (one start) he went 2–1 with a 5.21 earned run average (ERA) with 20 strikeouts in 19 innings. In 2013 he pitched for the Pulaski Mariners.[14] In 13 starts, he went 5–2 with a 1.43 ERA and 79 strikeouts over 69 innings. Prior to the 2014 season, he was named the Mariners fifth best prospect by Baseball America.[15]

Anthony Fernandez is a professional baseball player in the Seattle Mariners organization.
On September 29, 2006, Fernandez signed with the Mariners as a non-drafted free agent. He pitched both 2007 and 2008 with the DSL Mariners, pitching 5-6 with a 3.89 ERA while striking out 63 in 74 innings. He pitched 2009 with the AZL Mariners, pitching 5-3 with a 3.40 ERA in 13 games while striking out 53 in 53 innings. He pitched 2010 with Low-A Everett, going 8-3 with a 2.59 ERA in 15 starts while striking out 69 in 83.1 innings. He pitched 2011 mostly with Single-A Clinton, going 7-4 with a 2.80 ERA in 19 starts while striking out 107 in 125.1 innings. He split 2012 with High-A High Desert and Double-A Jackson pitching a combined 6-8 with a 3.51 ERA in 27 starts while striking out 134 in 164 innings. After the season, Fernandez was added to the 40-man roster to be protected from the Rule V Draft.[16]

Luiz Henrique Gohara (born July 31, 1996) is a pitcher in the Seattle Mariners organization.
Gohara signed with the Mariners as an international free agent on August 14, 2012.[18][19] He was originally on Brazil's roster for the 2013 World Baseball Classic,[20] however he left the team before the competition started.[21] He made his professional debut that season for the Pulaski Mariners. John Austin Hicks (born August 31, 1989) is an American professional baseball catcher in the Seattle Mariners organization.
Hicks was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the 31st round of the 2008 Major League Baseball Draft out of Goochland High School in Goochland, Virginia. He did not sign and played college baseball at the University of Virginia for the Cavaliers from 2009 to 2011. He was then drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the fourth round of the 2011 Major League Baseball Draft. He signed with the Mariners and made his professional debut that season with the Clinton LumberKings.[23] He played 2012 with the High Desert Mavericks and 2013 with the Double-A Jackson Generals.[24] Hicks started 2014 with Jackson and was promoted to the Triple-A Tacoma Rainiers.[25]
Hicks played youth baseball with Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.[26] He was placed on the 40–man roster on Novemver 20, 2014.[27]

Landazuri was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 22nd round of the 2010 Major League Baseball Draft out of Wilmer Amina Carter High School in Rialto, California.[28][29] He signed with the Mariners rather than play college baseball at California Baptist University. Jordy Lara (born May 21, 1991) is a Dominican professional baseball first baseman and outfielder in the Seattle Mariners organization.
Lara signed with the Seattle Mariners as an international free agent in 2008.[31] He made his professional debut in 2009 with the Dominican Summer League Mariners and played 2010 with them. He spent the next two seasons with the Pulaski Mariners. In 2013, he played with the Clinton LumberKings and the High Desert Mavericks. Lara returned to High Desert to start 2014 and was promoted to the Jackson Generals during the season. After the season he was named the Mariners co-Minor League Player of the Year with D. J. Peterson after hitting .337/.392/.581 with 26 home runs.[32]

Patrick James Leyland (born October 11, 1991) is a current Minor League Baseball catcher of the Seattle Mariners. Leyland was drafted in the eighth round of the 2010 Major League Baseball Draft by the Detroit Tigers.
Leyland was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.[33]
After he was drafted, he was placed with the GCL Tigers of the Gulf Coast League, where in 41 games he batted .219 with 12 RBIs and 32 hits. The next season, he was promoted to the Connecticut Tigers of the New York-Pennsylvania League. In 35 games, he batted .220 with one home run, 12 RBIs, 26 hits and one stolen base.
Leyland is the son of three-time Manager of the Year Award winner and former Tigers manager Jim Leyland. His cousin, Jack Miller, is an offensive lineman for the Michigan Wolverines football team.[34]

Marlette was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the fifth round of the 2011 Major League Baseball Draft out of Hagerty High School in Oviedo, Florida.[37] He was committed to play college baseball at the University of Central Florida, but was given a $650,000 bonus to sign with the Mariners.[38] He made his professional debut that season with the Pulaski Mariners, hitting .156 over 45 at-bats in 12 games. He spent most of the 2012 season with Pulaski and played two games with the Everett AquaSox.[39] He finished the year hitting .286/.306/.427 with five home runs over 213 at-bats. In 2013 he played for the Clinton LumberKings. He hit .304/.367/.448 with six home runs over 270 at-bats ion 75 games. Brian William Moran (born September 30, 1988) is an American professional baseball player who currently plays in the Seattle Mariners organization. Moran, a pitcher, played baseball at the University of North Carolina before turning professional. Moran was drafted from North Carolina by the Seattle Mariners in the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft. He made his professional debut that season with the rookie-level Pulaski Mariners. Since then, he has played in the minor leagues with the Clinton LumberKings (2009–2010), the High Desert Mavericks (2010), and the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx (2010). In 2010, he was selected to play in the Midwest League All-Star Game as a member of the LumberKings. Moran bats and throws left-handed. He stands at 6 feet 3 inches (1.91 m) and weighs 185 pounds (84 kg).
Moran attended Iona Preparatory School in New Rochelle, New York, where he played on the school's baseball team.[45] Moran pitched and played first base.[45] During his junior year, Moran was named all-county honorable mention.[45] In his junior season, he was named the team's most valuable player and was the county player of the year.[45] During the summers at Iona Prep, Moran played baseball with the ProSwing Pride.[45]
In 2007, Moran began attending the University of North Carolina and played on the school's baseball team as a pitcher.[46] In his first year at North Carolina, Moran compiled a 3.37 earned run average (ERA), and seven strikeouts in 13 games, all in relief. During his second season, Moran compiled a 1–2 record with a 2.76 ERA, two saves, and 72 strikeouts in 40 games, all in relief.[46] In 2009, Moran went 7–1 with a 2.31 ERA, four saves, and 90 strikeouts in 36 games.[46] He was a third-team All-American selection after the season.[46] Moran summed up his time at North Carolina by saying, "It was a dream come true – I can still not believe it that I will not be going back. It was an unbelievable three years. It was everything I could have hoped it could be. I made a lot of good friends and the coaches were awesome. It was an unbelievable experience."[47]
Moran was selected by the Seattle Mariners in the seventh round of the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft.[48] He said this about being drafted by Seattle: "I was actually at practice and a lot of the guys shouted down to the bullpen to let me know. Then all the sudden my phone started to get a lot of calls from people saying congratulations. It was pretty cool."[47] He was the first left-handed pitcher taken in the 2009 draft by the Mariners.[49][50] Dustin Ackley and Kyle Seager, Moran's teammates at North Carolina, were also drafted by the Mariners in 2009.[51]
After being drafted by the Seattle Mariners in 2009, Moran officially signed on June 26, 2009, receiving a US$140,000 signing bonus.[46] He was signed by scout Rob Mammau.[47] Moran made his professional debut in their minor league organization that season with the rookie-level Pulaski Mariners.[47] He went 1–0 with a 3.72 ERA, two saves, and 14 strikeouts in six games, all in relief with Pulaski. Moran was then promoted to the Class-A Clinton LumberKings of the Midwest League. With the LumberKings, he went 0–3 with a 2.89 ERA, and 17 strikeouts in 12 games. Between the two clubs in 2009, Moran compiled a 1–3 record with a 3.18 ERA, two saves, and 31 strikeouts in 281⁄3 innings pitched.
Moran started the 2010 season with the Class-A Clinton LumberKings.[52] Moran was used as a setup pitcher during his time at the Class-A level.[53] He was a league all-star that season.[54][55] Before the all-star break, Moran led Midwest League pitchers in bases on balls per nine innings pitched (0.93).[55] He praised the development of his split-finger fastball as reason for his success in 2010.[53] It was noted that he was "great friends" with his former University of North Carolina teammate and then-LumberKings teammate Kyle Seager.[53] With the LumberKings that season, Moran went 4–1 with a 1.34 ERA, three saves, and 48 strikeouts in 22 games, all in relief. He was then promoted the Class-A Advanced level to play with the High Desert Mavericks of the California League. With High Desert, Moran went 2–0 with a 1.42 ERA, one save, and 29 strikeouts in 17 games, all in relief. Finally that season, Moran played with the Double-A West Tenn Diamond Jaxx of the Southern League, compiling a 13.50 ERA in two games. Between the three clubs, Moran went 6–1 with a 1.73 ERA, four saves, and 78 strikeouts in 672⁄3 innings pitched.
Kyle Seager, Moran's teammate with the Clinton LumberKings, has described his pitching delivery as a "shot put" release.[53] Moran has stated that he developed his split-finger fast ball out of college, and that it have been effective in professional baseball.[53]
He was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays on December 12, 2013 in the 2013 Rule 5 Draft and then traded to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.[56] On April 8, it was announced that Moran would undergo Tommy John surgery and would miss the entire 2014 season,[57] meaning that Rule 5 restrictions will apply to him in 2015. The Angels returned him to the Mariners on October 30, 2014.

Gareth Broderick Morgan (born April 12, 1996) is a Canadian outfielder drafted by the Seattle Mariners of Major League Baseball, the 74th overall pick in the 2014 First-Year Player Draft.[59]
Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Morgan has also played on the Canadian junior national team, becoming the youngest player to do so, as he joined the team at age 14.[59][60][61]
He became the youngest player to participate in the Under Armour All-American Game powered by Baseball Factory in 2011 and the first Canadian to play in the Perfect Game All-American Game. The 2013 game was played at Petco Park in San Diego, California.[62][63]

Tyler R. Olson (born October 2, 1989) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Seattle Mariners' organization.
Olson attended University High School in Spokane Valley, Washington. He enrolled at Gonzaga University and pitched for the Gonzaga Bulldogs baseball team. He pitched for the Bulldogs as a freshman in 2009, but took a redshirt in 2010 when he suffered a shoulder subluxation. In 2012, his junior year, he was added to the Bulldogs' starting rotation, and pitched 110 innings.[65]
The Oakland Athletics selected Olson in the 17th round of the 2012 MLB Draft. Olson did not sign with Oakland, returning to Gonzaga for his senior year.[65] As a senior, Olson had a 9-4 win-loss record and a 2.48 earned run average 101+2⁄3 innings pitched. He was named the West Coast Conference's Pitcher of the Year. The Seattle Mariners selected Olson in the seventh round, with the 207th overall selection, of the 2013 MLB Draft.[66][67][68] He signed with the Mariners and began his professional career with the Everett Aquasox of the Class A-Short Season Northwest League.[69] The Mariners invited Olson to spring training in 2015.[70]

Dario Pizzano (born April 25, 1991) is a minor league baseball player currently in the Seattle Mariners organization.
Prior to playing professionally, he attended Malden High School in Malden, Massachusetts and then Columbia University, where he earned first team All-Ivy League honors each year he played with the team.[73] At the time, he was one of only 21 players in the history of the game to be named to three All-Ivy League teams.[74] In 2010, he hit .374 with a .426 on-base percentage and a .741 slugging percentage in 46 games, hitting 12 home runs and driving 36 runs in. He was named Ivy League Co-Rookie of the Year and a Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American that season. In 2011, he hit .359/.433/.654 with 9 home runs and 36 RBI in 43 games and in 2012, he hit .360/.457/.547 with 4 home runs and 36 RBI. He was named Ivy League Player of the Year that year.[75]
He was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 15th round of the 2012 Major League Baseball Draft. With the Pulaski Mariners and Everett AquaSox that year, Pizzano hit .354/.442/.507 with 74 hits in 59 games, earning a spot on the Appalachian League Post-Season All-Star squad and the MiLB.com Organization All-Star team. He led the Appalachian League in batting average (.356) and on-base percentage (.442) that year. With the Clinton LumberKings in 2013, he hit .311/.392/.471 with 144 hits in 126 games and was named to the Midwest League Mid-Season All-Star team. He also hit 40 doubles, becoming the only minor leaguer since 2006 to hit 40 or more doubles and strikeout 50 or fewer times in a campaign of at least 120 games played. [76] He hit .244/.341/.404 with 100 hits in 116 games between the High Desert Mavericks and Jackson Generals in 2014.[77]

Jordan T. Pries (born January 27, 1990) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Seattle Mariners organization.
Pries was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 30th round of the 2011 Major League Baseball Draft out of Stanford University.[78] He made his professional debut that season for the Everett AquaSox.[79] In 2012, he played for the Arizona League Mariners and Clinton LumberKings and in 2013, he played for the High Desert Mavericks. He started 2014 with the Double-A Jackson Generals. After two starts he was promoted to Triple-A Tacoma Rainiers.[80]

David Rollins (born December 21, 1989) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Seattle Mariners organization.
Rolins was drafted in the 2008, 2009 and 2010 Major League Baseball Draft's and did not sign either time. After being drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2011 Draft he signed. In July 2012, he was traded from the Blue Jays to the Houston Astros in a ten-player trade.[82] He was selected by the Seattle Mariners from the Astros in the 2014 Rule 5 Draft.[83]

Víctor Sánchez (born January 30, 1995) is a professional baseball pitcher in the Seattle Mariners organization.
Sánchez signed with the Seattle Mariners as an international free agent in August 2011.[84] He made his professional debut with the Everett AquaSox in 2012.[85][86] He started 15 games and went 6–2 with a 3.18 earned run average (ERA) and 69 strikeouts over 85 innings pitched. In 2013, he pitched for the Clinton LumberKings. On July 18, he threw a no-hitter, becoming the youngest player in Mariners franchise history to throw a no-hitter.[87][88] He finished the year 6–6 with a 2.78 ERA and 79 strikeouts over 113 innings.

Forrest Evans Snow (born December 30, 1988) is a professional baseball pitcher currently in the Seattle Mariners organization.
After graduating from Lakeside School in Seattle, Snow was drafted in the 44th round of the 2007 Major League Baseball Draft by the Seattle Mariners, however, he decided to play college baseball at the University of Washington. He saw limited field time in his freshman year. In 2008, Snow made only 6 appearances and finished 1-0 with a 3.52 ERA and 10 strikeouts. In 2009, he made 13 appearances, including 3 starts, and finished 1-0 with a 5.81 ERA and 31 strikeouts. In 2010, Snow made 27 appearances, including 9 starts, and finished 4-2 with a 6.30 ERA and 60 strikeouts.
In 2010, Snow was drafted again by the Mariners in the 2010 Major League Baseball Draft and signed with the club on June 14.[89] Snow spent time with the Everett AquaSox and the Clinton LumberKings in 2010. He went a combined 0-1 with a 0.60 ERA and 52 strikeouts.
In 2013 he was suspended 50 games by the MLB for violating the substance abuse policy.

Ryan Christian Yarbrough (born December 31, 1991) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Seattle Mariners organization.
Yarbrough played college baseball at Santa Fe Community College in 2011 before transferring to Old Dominion University. He pitched for Old Dominion in 2013 and 2014. He was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 20th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft, but did not sign and returned to Old Dominion.[90] He was then drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the fourth round of the 2014 Draft and signed.[91]
Yarbrough made his professional debut with the Pulaski Mariners. After two games, he was promoted to the Everett AquaSox.[92] Overall he pitched in 14 games (10 starts) and had a 1.27 earned run average (ERA) with 58 strikeouts in 42+2⁄3 innings.
