Sparta Township is one of twenty-one townships in Knox County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2010 census, its population was 1,165 and it contained 517 housing units.[1]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 36.09 square miles (93.5 km2), of which 36.09 square miles (93.5 km2) (or 100%) is land and 0.01 square miles (0.026 km2) (or 0.03%) is water.[1]
