Interpol

[edit]

The article states: "Interpol later sought to investigate him over the case, but never charged him due to a lack of evidence." However, as worded, this statement is not supported by the source cited. While the subject was apparently investigated by Interpol, it is not Interpol's function to charge people, that is left to the police forces in the jurisdictions concerned. If charges were to be laid then the police in country where the crime occurred would lay charges and then ask the police country where the person alleged to have committed that crime is residing to be arrested and extradited to face those charges. The cited source only says the subject was investigated, it does not say there was insufficient evidence to lay charges. If there another source that says that then it also needs to be cited to support the statement. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 06:01, 2 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
