Third-party sources[edit]

OK, she describes herself as an "academic and journalist" on her own website, but is this third-party sourcable, or indeed at all accurate? Wouldn't "person off the telly with a recent doctorate" be closer to the point? (No, that wasn't a suggested edit.) Also, it seems (typically, on Wikipedia) odd that she's in a "Polish British" category, when she's blatantly a Yank. Smartiger (talk) 00:05, 2 February 2010 (UTC)

No, links to her PhD thesis won't suffice; that makes her a "broadcaster with a PhD", not an "academic". If she's at any pointed worked as an academic, she wouldn't appear to pass the "average college professor" test. Her actual notability seems to be as a broadcaster and journalist, so let's try stating that precisely as such. Smartiger (talk) 06:40, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
