Citation needed
[edit]The comment in the intro that this film marked the introduction of drug taking "that would eventually kill him" is awfully POV as it stands. A citation is needed, otherwise the comment needs to be removed. 23skidoo 03:09, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:ElvisClambake.JPG
[edit]Image:ElvisClambake.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:45, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

When is a source not a source?
[edit]We now have this source: Rachael Seravalli (February 23, 2005). "A UNL researcher reacts to science in the movies". Lincoln Journal Star. Retrieved 23 March 2012. But it still came as a surprise to Mark Griep to learn The King played a chemist in 1967's "Clambake" a discovery made all the more abrupt because this detail oddly was missing from the movie-box description.
I have no idea what in the article is drawn from it, though. Mysha (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 10:44, 18 December 2017 (UTC)

Clambake → Clambake (film) – Clambake: A History and Celebration of an American Tradition by Kathy Neustadt and dozens of other books. Redirect Clambake to Clam bake or Clambake (disambiguation) as appropriate. In ictu oculi (talk) 07:37, 25 June 2018 (UTC)
- Is clam-baking in general more or less noteworthy than this film? Anthony Appleyard (talk) 10:18, 25 June 2018 (UTC)
- Apparently it was notable enough for them to make a movie about it. bd2412 T 13:36, 26 June 2018 (UTC)
- Support, of course. "Clambake" capitalized is still 'clambake' (all the same for the poor clams, who were just going about their lives). Randy Kryn (talk) 10:41, 25 June 2018 (UTC)
- Support move and redirect "Clambake" to Clam bake. Rreagan007 (talk) 15:44, 25 June 2018 (UTC)
- Strongly support - "clambake" should either be retargeted to Clam bake or Clambake (disambiguation). Paintspot Infez (talk) 16:57, 25 June 2018 (UTC)
- Support - not primary and to make room for the related move at Talk:New England clam bake#Requested move 24 June 2018. Clambake (disambiguation) should not be moved. -- Netoholic @ 04:21, 26 June 2018 (UTC)
- Support and redirect Clambake to New England clam bake. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:08, 27 June 2018 (UTC)
- Closing comment: Although this close is technically just a few hours early, consensus is clear and this impacts another RM. Andrewa (talk) 02:31, 2 July 2018 (UTC)
