However, text and references from this article have been copied directly from Johnny Kitagawa, at least a good majority of the article has been copied word for word from there. Even some references here are improperly written as they've been copied with the source page's defined reference names in order to allow them to cite the same source over and over again within the same page. There are errors in the reference list because of undefined references. See WP:REFNAME for further details, as these undefined references were defined in the source article, but not in this article.

Cover-up of rape at Johnny & Associates → Johnny Kitagawa sexual abuse scandal – "Cover-up of rape" unnecessarily narrows the scope of the article and does not adequately summarize the key aspects of the event/scandal being discussed. Why should the title be specifically about the cover-up of sexual abuse allegations rather than the allegations themselves? First Comet (talk) 03:49, 9 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Although Kitagawa was never convicted before his death, the overwhelming testimonies from his victims and Johnny & Associates' public apology validate the sexual abuse allegations. Don't use "allegations", because, if I understand correctly, it has generally been concluded that the allegations of sexual abuse were true, so they are not just "allegations". Don't use "sex scandal" because this is not a matter of sex and scandal; it is a matter of child abuse/rape/molestation – something much more serious. But I'm not sure why this is a separate article. It seems like this content should just be in the articles about Kitagawa and Johnny & Associates. In fact, it appears that this article was based on content in the Johnny Kitagawa article that was then removed from that article by this article's creator. It seems very improper to me that the article about Kitagawa no longer describes what Kitagawa did. This content should just be put back into the Johnny Kitagawa article (where it was until it was removed two days ago) and this title should just redirect there. —⁠ ⁠BarrelProof (talk) 18:44, 9 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Move to Johnny & Associates sexual abuse and cover up by Japanese media. Not only Johnney Kitagawa but also employee(manager) of Johnny & Associates did sexual abuse, so this is not just a problem for Johnny Kitagawa personally. @Panama bung: The proposed title fails WP:CONCISE. Descriptive article titles on Wikipedia do not need to include every characteristic of the subject being discussed. Also, current media coverage of the scandal focuses almost exclusively on the abuse committed by Kitagawa, so explicitly mentioning Kitagawa in the title makes more sense. "Johnny & Associates sexual abuse" fails WP:COMMONNAME by failing to mention the most important aspects of the scandal as reported by reliable sources and unduly downplaying Kitagawa's role despite this being the primary focus of media coverage. Move to Johnny Kitagawa sexual abuse scandal. Johnny Kitagawa should be mentioned somewhere in the title, and articles about offences committed by other sexual offenders have a similar title to this one (e.g. Jimmy Savile sexual abuse scandal, Bill Cosby sexual assault cases, and Harvey Weinstein sexual abuse cases). Therefore it makes the most sense to title this page something of a similar nature to those, and "Johnny Kitagawa sexual abuse scandal" seems the most fitting. --209.93.85.21 (talk) 10:24, 12 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
