Danny GarcíaDanny Garcia (boxer) – Majority (if not all) of sources used in the article use this spelling. Additionally, Garcia's verified social media accounts use the same: Twitter, Instagram. – 2.O.Boxing 17:51, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support, it would make more sense to have Danny García redirecting to the dab Daniel García. 162 etc. (talk) 18:42, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support the move but I'd oppose redirecting the current name to the DAB page. Of the subjects that actually appear to have "Danny García" (or Garcia) as a commonly used name (so, discounting Daniel's and Dani's unless we know they are ever referred to as Danny), page views seem to overwhelmingly favor the boxer, who gets hundreds of daily views compared to single digits for the others. With only names that use the accent, it appears even more overwhelmingly clear. Intentionally directing readers who appear to have a clear intended target elsewhere is the opposite of what we seek to do with redirects and disambiguation. I'd note that my checks for other Danny García's was a bit quick and rough though, so if we see clear evidence that there are likely other intended targets to the extent that its no longer an overwhelming majority I'd appreciate the research.--Yaksar (let's chat) 22:44, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • I used way too many words, but in short: it's possibly debatable if there is a primary topic for Danny Garcia without the accent, but for Danny García with the accent there isn't ambiguity for what readers are looking for as the only Danny García, so the current title should continue to direct to the boxer.--Yaksar (let's chat) 19:22, 3 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
