[edit]

Someone consistently edits this page removing Mr. Shanower's age and year of birth despite this info being correct and properly cited. (His birthday is October 23, 1963 if you need to re-add the info and don't want to search the history logs. The month and day are usually not deleted, just the year and his age in the infobox). I revert this vandalism whenever I see it, but please keep an eye out for it. It's usually always done by an anonymous IP with little to no edit history. The IP usually begins with 71.136... or 71.137... which makes me think it's the same user. I hate to think that the editor is someone possibly connected to the subject of the article--possibly Mr. Shanower himself--but I see no other reason why the same editor would repeatedly remove someone's age from the article over such a long period of time. Removing cited information as well as editing articles directly or indirectly connected to you are both against Wiki-policy. (And, really, shame on you if you are Mr. Shanower and/or someone connected to him, and you keep making these edits. Have some self-respect and dignity instead of trying to hide your age on Wikipedia).Flygongengar (talk) 18:16, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I recommend adding a Semi-protection lock on the article if this has been such a recurring problem. --–m.f (tc) 15:16, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I submitted a request for Semi-protection. It will be reviewed and acted if deemed worthy. --–m.f (tc) 13:59, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I denied the request for semi-protection. As I mentioned on that page, if the anonymous editor has a privacy matter that needs to be addressed, he or she should contact OTRS. If you see the IP in action again, please the editor aware of this. Otherwise, it is entirely proper to revert these attempts to remove attributed information, and the IP is likely to simply be frustrated in any attempts to do so.
