Gyula Bodola → Iuliu Bodola – Name used on Fifa.com [1], fussballdaten.de [2] and http://www.rsssf.com [3] 79.117.176.53 (talk) 09:51, 26 October 2012 (UTC)
- Support: Iuliu also according to Keir Radnedge: The illustrated encyclopedia of soccer, 2001. No reliable sources for Gyula cited. --RJFF (talk) 18:09, 27 October 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose: He was a Hungarian, not Romanian. --Norden1990 (talk) 16:15, 30 October 2012 (UTC)
- This is not a valid counter-argument. It may be true that his native name was Gyula, but wikipedia does not necessarily use the subject's "official" name as an article title; it prefers to use the name that is most frequently used to refer to the subject in English-language reliable sources.(WP:UCN).
- More sources using Iuliu Bodola: the International Federation of Football History & Statistics: [4] or http://www.soccermond.com/fifa/world_cup/1938_france/teams/romania.php 79.117.204.45 (talk) 16:34, 30 October 2012 (UTC)

- Note that due to some previous cut-and-paste moves in 2009 and 2010 I had to perform a histmerge as well. There was also an old talk page for this article that was not properly moved in 2010 and it's not located at Talk:Iuliu Bodola/old. Jenks24 (talk) 13:26, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
Oppose - Gyula Bodola was Hungarian. His name Iului was forced by Romanian power. Gyula Bodola was Hungarian citizenship from 1940 till he died. I don't find any real reason for using a created name (Iului). - Csurla (talk) 20:26, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
To the above mentioned WP:UCN ::This is not a valid counter-argument. It may be true that his native name was Gyula, but wikipedia does not necessarily use the subject's "official" name as an article title; it prefers to use the name that is most frequently used to refer to the subject in English-language reliable sources.(WP:UCN).
- It"s a wrong using of WP:UCN. It's related for the cases of Bill Clinton / William Jefferson Clinton not for the different language's version. The all moving a mistake. - Csurla (talk) 20:43, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
- It is Iuliu, coming from Latin Iulius 79.117.206.189 (talk) 20:59, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
