Data and Hamilton H-47
[edit]There is a little more data (span length & height) in Fahey, but suggest what we need is an article on the H-47. Only one H-47 of 29 built became impressed as a UC-89, so that info is probably better placed in an article about them all. The last survivor recently came up for sale, restored http://www.airport-data.com/forums/topic1636.html.TSRL (talk) 20:10, 22 August 2010 (UTC)
- Agree, moved to H-47 do you have any info on the H-47? MilborneOne (talk) 20:30, 22 August 2010 (UTC)
- It appears the H-45 was not that different, perhaps just a different engine as the UC-89 was originally a H-45 ("converted with a 525hp R-1690-5 and slightly extended wingspan") MilborneOne (talk) 20:59, 22 August 2010 (UTC)
- Plumped it up bit, mostly using aerofiles data and images. Will redirect H-45 to H-47. Could do with more info, especially on airline use and specs too; but removed stub tag. There is a web suggestion that the impressed aircraft was the "Special", but Fahey quotes standard span and Hornet. Also suggestions of Panamanian airline and Peruvian AF use would need citable sources. The Hamilton aircraft are interesting and deserve better coverage.TSRL (talk) 21:51, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
