Women's matches?

[edit]

Can anybody add the total number of women's ODI and T20I matches on this ground? THE NEW ImmortalWizard(chat) 09:56, 25 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Over complex and Update tags

[edit]

The problem with having so much detail about the number of matches that have been played on the ground is that it gets out of date awfully quickly. There is at least one update required. In addition, a discussion was had last year where the general feeling was that there was absolutely no need to include the details of the batsmen dismissed or economy rate in these lists. Many of the others, Lord's for example, have had this level of detail removed. I'd strongly suggest the same thing happens here - it makes the lists actually usable by someone without a super-wide monitor for starters (let alone some poor chap reading this on a phone on a dodgy connection. Revisiting this having worked on the other Bangladesh pages. The proposal to remove detail is consistent with a series of discussions which were had at the Cricket wikiproject at the beginning of 2019 - those discussions seemed to reach a level of agreement that the players dismissed as part of a five-wicket haul were probably not necessary to include in the tables. This has, in my view, the advantage that the tables become much easier to read. The discussion can be here and here (with a bonus previous discussion here.) The same thing was done at List of international cricket five-wicket hauls at McLean Park, also a featured list. Blue Square Thing (talk) 10:08, 22 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Anyone? Blue Square Thing (talk) 18:00, 28 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
As there appear to be no objections, I'll go ahead and do this. Blue Square Thing (talk) 10:59, 5 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Blue Square Thing: One year ago you tagged this list with cleanup template {{Technical}}. Since then you've done a commendable amount of cleanup on it. Do you still feel the tag is needed? If so, please elaborate about your outstanding concerns a bit. I'm not a cricket aficionado, but feel I more or less understand the article. I'm hazy on the significance of the different formats - Test, ODI, T20I - but the terms are linked to articles that would probably make it clear if I cared to go that deep. If there's a particular part of the article that you think is done better in similar featured lists about other grounds (Brabourne, Lord's, M. A. Chidambaram, McLean Park, and Riverside), that would be useful for anyone tackling the cleanup to know. Thanks! --Worldbruce (talk) 03:14, 13 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Worldbruce: Thanks. I must have forgotten to remove the tag when I dealt with the table. The lead could probably use a brush through, but I don't know if I'll get to that - there's a good chance the article will be deleted so I'm not sure the work would be worthwhile.
