Past or present?
[edit]Is she, or was she, an Administrator? Does one cease 'being' an Administrator by leaving one administrative role?
- Lou Anna Kimsey Simon was an American university administrator.

Does tense matter in this tense topic? MaynardClark (talk) 18:15, 25 January 2018 (UTC)
- I tend to think someone who has trained for and worked in university administration since the 1970s has clearly established that as their profession, whether or not they're employed this minute. She hasn't even been out of the last job for a full day, and we have no way of knowing what will happen next with her career. I don't think it should be phrased in past tense unless she announces plans to retire (in which case it should probably just say she "is a retired...": have the first sentence say "she was [anything]" makes it sound like the subject is deceased.)
